only one problem... cablevision and the fans don't want future, they want playoffs now.... and they give up numerous picks to build for the future thanks to bonehead trades by thomas....

You're right about Dolan and his idiot flunkies at Cablevision, but real fans don't mind several losing seasons as long as the team is heading in the right direction. I see no point in making the playoffs with a sub-.500 record and getting bumped in the first round. I'd rather build the Knicks into a 45-50 win team first.

That short-sighted "playoffs at all cost" attitude(over the past 30 years) is why this franchise is in deep sh!t now. If the Knicks had blown the team up after 2001, we'd be further along. Isiah's moves made things worse.

After 6 straight wins, Knicks have flat out sucked. There's no way around it. What's happened?

And trade Crawford, please. His crappy decision making really shined through today without Marbury there covering it up.

John, it's like Bill Parcells said - "You are what your record says you are". The Knicks just aren't that good. You have to wait until Brown gets better players - guys that play his style of ball. To me, it's about the future.

I mentioned his wife three times, so I don't beliveve that grounds will hold it's own on court. Although adoption would is still a very desirable option.

What I really want to know is what the hell was up with the starting line-up last night? Where the hell was David Lee? Did he even play last night? F'n Larry Brown.. Lee goes from starting every game to not even playing one minute.

And the rookies minutes have declined. While Jamal Crawford's been starting and playing even more. And we've been losing. I wonder why that is..

Your head will spin trying to figure out Brown's moves. The season's done, so why not play the rooks?

The Knicks have had bad years before, but this year it's painful watching them. I don't think Brown will stick around long enough to get the team out of this mess.

It's not just that the seasons though , but we were actually winning with the rooks. I would understand all this heartbreak if we would've had a first round pick , but we don't even have that to look to .

To bring in Larry Brown was a realy bad idea, because everybody knew that Brown always liked pass first point guards, who can play "the right way" (or larry's way).

Isiah should have brought in a coach who facilitates Starbury's skills (as a scorer) and build a team around a scoring point guard.

A second scoring option who knows that he actually IS "only" the 2nd scoring option, some defensive minded players (like in the old days of the knicks) and some role players and a scorer of the bench (i don't mind if it's jamal crawford).

Larry Brown tries to change an already developed veteran, who is also the star and the focal point of the team, and Starbury KNOWS THAT, so i don't wonder why it has not really worked out so far.

I think Starbury's improved a lot. His defense is a lot better and his shot selection is much better. He's done a great job finding open players and creating for his teammates. But to me Jamal Crawford's off-set that all. He has no defense and his shooting is erratic.

Then add to the fact that the rookies haven't been getting minutes as of late and they're some of our best players, then there's a problem.

Malik Rose has played horrible. Jerome James is a turnover machine and hasn't done anything worthwile all year. I'd bench them both, along with Crawford.

C- Eddy Curry
PF- Antonio Davis(Mo Taylor while Davis is out with the suspension)
SF- David Lee
SG- Stephon Marbury
PG- Nate Robinson
Bench:
Channing Frye
Mo Taylor
Quentin Richardson (along with Woods and Ariza, give most of the major bench minutes to whoever's got it going offensively and defensively. Recently he and Woods have been solid.)
Qyntel Woods(has been a good energy guy off the bench. Makes hustle plays and I haven't really seen him do anything negative.)
Trevor Ariza(been struggling lately, but can be an energy/hustle guy.)
Jamal Crawford(play him in spirts. But he has to play defense and if his shot isn't going, bench him. Make sure he's taking it to the basket and nto settling.)

As a rule, the Knicks should make sure none of their players are settling too. And Curry still has to learn how to pass out of the double team instead of just bowling in there.

Brown was playing this line-up before and it was fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Lee might not always have a good shooting game, but he gives you the hustle guy who's effect you can't always judge by the box score. Marbury has been our best player. Nate's our best 3-pt shooter and when he's not in foul trouble has been a solid playmaker and he's also a hustle guy.

What happened to Jackie Butler? He hasn't played in a long time. He'd be a better back-up to Curry than James.
