I think so because in the promo shots they have T-Mac in his shoes and Yao in some tight shoes. so I guess.

It's possible that some players will have signature shoes, and if not, shoes that might bear a resemblence to the real design.

They had like a 50 different shoe types in Live 2003... That still cannot cover all the options, but it's enough I say. Leave some work for you modders out there.

I really haven't been paying that much attention to the shoes... Are the shoes team regulated? I play fantasy drafted seasons and I have guys wearing all kinds of boots. Some are even in slippers :) Or maybe not. But are like all default Laker players wearing the same shoes? If yes, well that should change, because the tools are already there.

I really don't care if the shoes are right on the money, but kicks that seem like the ones a player really wears is fine. The shoes should change too over time in the dynasty mode... I wonder how many pairs does an NBA player go through in a season???

Through patching we are able to give each player a maximum of 4 different types of shoes for 5 on 5....and 10 different types of practise. Indeed, do default shoes really matter?

Unless you use Qweet's jersey installer, then you could have 13!

Well thats not patching though...that's using 3rd party programs and such. I was speaking about the default game. :)

The JI just saves time, you could do all the same stuff manually.

I can't imagine they would, all it is is free exposure. Sue I think not, request to have their brand names advertised as part of the game within, or in advertising, may be possible. I'd like to not have to d/l new default shoes and change the teamgear.dbf to match, it took me 3 days almost straight to do it to 2003.
