Hy everyone! I've finally decided to start a Dynasty 
. As you see I've chosen Rockets with T-Mac @ Yao and the place where the All Star Weekend will be held this season 
I've already played the first 2 games and I hope to update the dynasty till my 3rd game today

Changing Times
Houston, TX, Oct. 7 – The Houston Franchise decided to make some necessary changes. New faces were introduced by the Rockets staff as double_g will fill the GM position; Ambe Hoyle will fill the head scout position and Uriah Christiansson as assistant coach; Brent Mahorn as trainer will join Jeff Van Gundy on the bench.
“I’m honored to have joined this organization! I’ve come here to make from Houston a winning team in all aspects. The team had a pretty good run last season reaching the play-offs but I believe we can do more!” said GM double_g.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to work alongside Jeff Van Gundy. We have some great players and together we can reach our full potential” said the new assistant coach Uriah Christiansson.

Team Report – 1st part
Houston, TX, Oct. 29 – The Opening night in the NBA has passed. Now it’s Houston time as the Rockets will play their opening night today in front of their home crowd against the NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs.
Now the first question the fans have in mind is with whom will Jeff Van Gundy start the game? If all-stars Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady are surely starters, there are still 3 positions left untouched that can be filled by all the other players.
For the Power position, there are 2 mainly contestants: Juwan Howard and Stromile Swift. The Head Coach however seemed to have chosen newly-arrival “Stro”, a very athletic big guy with a lot of strength on his side.
For the Shooting position, the rookie who impressed in training camp, Luther Head, is ahead of everybody else. Players like Derek Anderson and Jon Barry will have to come up from the bench and put up big numbers to contest Head’s position.
For the Point Guard position, Rafer Alston and David Wesley will probably share the minutes. Bob Sura will become the 3rd possibility for the position and will have to come up strong from the bench to change that.
Rumor Mill – Since the arrival of double_g, the new Rockets GM, there have been a lot of trading rumors around the organization. The main problem issued by the General Manager is the aging situation. He believes there are too many “experienced” players and not enough young guns. In this situation those players with expiring contracts like Wesley; M Norris or Jon Barry will either be traded before the February deadline or they will become FA in off-season. Expanding Yao’s contract is another problem for double_g. He’s in his last year and could be traded if there are some good offers. Also players like Bob Sura; Derek Anderson and high-contracted player Juwan Howard seemed to be on the trading waiting list of Houston franchise.

i remember simming a rockets dynasty for fun, i traded yao, wesley and sura, an d got chris paul and i released alston, i didnt win as much but T-Mac was averaging 35 PPG just something to think about lol

Well Yao will definitely ask for a 10 Mil + contract I guess since he's an 86 and rising

Yeah that's really sth to think about. But if I trade Yao I will give him for sth better then Chris Paul

The Defensive Problem
Houston, TX, Oct. 29 – Houston lost in their opening night in Texas 93 – 90 against San Antonio. It was a narrow defeat but with many problems for T-Mac & Co. They couldn’t stop the offensive flow of the Spurs and got away a lot of offensive boards.
Manu Ginobili was the high man for San Antonio scoring from almost every angle. He made 10 out of 16 from the field averaging 24 points; 4 rebounds; 4 assists and 3 steals. “It was a tough win. Houston is a good team with Yao and McGrady but eventually we played well and won. The big guys Tim and Rasho had a great contribution for this win making many offensive rebounds.” said Manu.
T-Mac scored 33 points but he missed the 3-pointer that could tie the game to 93 in the last seconds of the game. “We played well but not well enough to beat San Antonio.” said McGrady.
Luther Head who was a starter for Houston made his debut in the NBA. He scored only 1 point from the FT line in his 21-minute game. Also he made 2 boards; 4 assists and 1 steal.

Crashing Rockets!
Atlanta, Nov. 7 – Houston suffered an awful defeat away from home 133 – 88 against the Flying Hawks. Nothing worked for the Rockets as they were blown out from the game early in the 3rd quarter. The Hawks controlled the game from minute 1 and had the possibility to play for the crowd in the 4th quarter.
Tyronn Lue led Atlanta to the victory scoring a career-high of 38 points and making 4 out of 7 from beyond the arc. “We had a great time this evening. We hit some open shot early in the game and we became read hot from the field. My teammates did a great job and made space for me and Joe and we won!”
Joe Johnson scored 35 points hitting 14 out of 23 from the field. “We had one of those days when everything seemed to go our way. We rebounded we passed a lot and we scored. That was the key to out success!”
Yao Ming scored 14 points and grabbed only 5 rebounds as he continues to struggle from the field. “We have to gather up and try to find out what is going on with us. We have 2 losses now!” said Yao. Asked if he considers a move out of Houston he responded: “No comment!”
P.S. Sorry but I didn't make any screens in this game. I was too pissed off of how things were going in the game and I totally forgot

The major concern for Jeff Van Gundy is the defense. In both games the opposing teams have “out-rebounded” the Rockets. In the two games Houston made 59 boards whereas the opponent made 80 rebounds. “We do not rebound well! We let the other team have open shots. And not to mention that we do not have the offensive flow we should have!” said the head coach after the game with Atlanta.
Rumor is that GM double_g has already left Houston in search of players and trades that will have a major impact on the way this team goes. Yao could be traded as he hasn’t been himself in the start of this season. He hasn’t been a force defensively as he was last season. Furthermore he has an expiring contract. There are several options like Ron Artest who is in his last year of contract and he’s not such a popular figure in Indiana after the events of last season. Also Francis is a possibility for the Houston franchise but Orlando doesn’t seem to agree such a trade. Recently a new trading rumor has spread: a blockbuster including Yao for expiring Amare Stoudemire. This is the most popular possibility among Houston’s staff. They get instead of Yao another great big man, a true all-star power player.
P.S. Well this is where I am right now. And I would really need your help. What do you think I should do? Should I trade Yao or should I wait a bit longer and see how the things are going? There are several possibilities like a Yao - Artest trade or Yao + some fillers like D. Anderson or Bob Sura for Amare + Kurt Thomas. Don't trade Yao yet, you're just starting. Keep it realistic, see how he plays in the future.

Yet Another One!
Golden State, Nov. 12 – Houston lost the 3rd straight game in G State against a red hot offense led by highflying Jason Richardson and Baron Davis. The Warriors seemed unstoppable, making almost every shot in the 3rd quarter. Houston didn’t have the defensive problems from the first 2 games but still the offensive flow was not there.
Jason Richardson was named the Player of the Game scoring 34 points and making 4 steals all in the 1st half. He scored 15 points only in the 1st quarter. “We had a very good game. It has been an easy victory for us. I hope to play as well as I did today and help my team win the next game.”
Tracy McGrady scored 44 points and made 4 boards but he could not help his team getting the first victory of the season.
“I don’t know what is happening with us. We simply can’t stop the other teams from scoring. In the last 2 games our opponents scored over 250 points. This has to make us wonder…” said at the press conference head coach Jeff Van Gundy. When asked what’s Yao situation he replied: “Yao is our player and he is not going anywhere!”

Man you are playing just with McGrady, play with Yao inside he is amazing there, you are doing nothing with him...Try to pass the ball a little more only 12 assists... Come on..28 turnovers?
Maybe you should edit the sliders a little bit more on blocking, stealing...

You're over-reacting with the losses. I lost the first 9 games of my dynasty and I managed to get back to .500.
You gotta run more plays, try different things, McGrady can't do it all. Try and find your team's strengths on offence (Yao = tall, McGrady = good )
And trade some of those old farts, except Mutombo, keep him so he retires and you get some cap space.

Yeah I know I still have to improve my game! And yes I will try to get Yao more involved. And that's my major concern for now...I'm not passing the ball well enough to find open opportunities

Yeah I guess you're right I have still 26 games to go this season
. And that's what I'm planning to do: to keep find and trade young guns and a better bench

The new way!
Sacramento, Nov. 14 – Houston stopped the 3 losses in a row with a big win over the Kings in Sacramento. An important victory for them as they head for Houston in the next game to face Memphis Grizzlies.
Jeff Van Gundy was very happy of the game display! “This is the way we have to play in order to get more games won than lost. I’ve told the guys to pass the ball more and especially to trust their teammates and trust themselves and so they did.” said the head coach after the game.
Mike Miller made his debut for Houston and helped his new team get the first victory of the season. He was traded by Memphis for Derek Anderson and Moochie Norris. “This is a new beginning for me and I’m honored to play in a team with Tracy McGrady or Yao Ming. It’s a big challenge for me!”
Tracy McGrady was named Player of the Game averaging 20 points; 5 boards; 5 assists; 2 steals and 2 blocks. “We really needed this game won. I hope to continue that way and bring our fans in the next game a new victory!”
Mike Bibby was not a happy man after the game having made only 5 shots out of 20. “It was a poor game for us! Houston played very well taking control of the game since the first half.”
Stromile Swift made his first double-double of this season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. It was also the first double-double of this season made by a Houston Rockets’ player.

Well I can say one thing, you maybe be very good at deffense or your win was an accident.

Use your bench a bit more, and rotate Rafer or Miller for Head a bit. He's a good shooter and can give you some output which your team sorely needs.

Lol I played some really good D in this game but I admitt that I got lucky at some open shots.

P.S. Now I really need a back-up SF young and with potential . I would like to have in my team players like Travis Outlaw from Portland or even rookie Gerald Green from Boston but I can't seem to find a trade that will be accepted by the other team Do you have any ideas? Or do you know any other players who could suit to my description?
Try Juwan Howard for James Posey, Heat should be really interesting in PF position
Although he hasn't good potential but he will do great for you from the bench
