Ya, no coaches voluntered to help them with their games, no teacher stayed late after class to help these athletes pass their tests or even let them cheat, no parents gave up their time to drive these kids to practices. They did it all themselves, no one helped them along the way

if I remember right Hoiberg came from a well-to-do family in the upper-middle class dominated Ames (hence the nickname 'mayor')
