anybody see that 6'9 12 year old on ripleys believe it or not? he's freaking huge.... you all think he might be a top prospect someday? he's only 12, and he's massive for a kid that age, seems really comfortable with his size already.... maybe the next shaq? ive never seen a kid that big, that young.... and not all gangly and awkward..

that and i mentioned MJ's oldest son in another post... the "could you beat him in horse" post.
anybody know if he's following in daddys footsteps? thems some big shoes to fill....
what year would these kids be eligible for the draft?

I saw an article about Mayo a year ago in Slam (When he was 14!!!) comparing him to Gary Payton. There was also a 6'10'' or 7' guy along with a 6'9'' one. All 15 and under.

Just because someone is tall does not mean they will be great players. Consider Gheorghe Muresan, Chuck Nevitt, and Priest Lauderdale. Muresan had a decent (but brief) career, but the problem for players that tall (apart from coordination) is that there is no incentive to really develop their skills - rather, they rely on their size.
