reggie bush. Because right now Dominack Davis has more trade potential than David Carr.

And why would they take Young when they have so much money locked on Carr? They will probably trade down, and this year it's not going to be as difficult as it was last years for teh Niners, because Bush is a hot commodity around teh NFL. Young, too. If the pick goes to the Saints look for them to pick Young.

I heard several analysts including HBO's Jim Lampley on the Jim Rome show suggest that the pick be traded for more 1st round picks. I disagree. Either of those players have future superstar potential ; it would be a mistake to trade away that pick and the opportunity to draft either of those superstars.

And , in my opinion , I think Reggie Bush is the better choice. Hopefully he will have an offensive line in front of him to pull off his juke moves and his amazing runs he had at USC. But , with the way David Carr has played in the league , having Vince Young wouldn't hurt either. The question is can there be a mobile scrambling atheletic quarterback who can also pass with accuracy , and Michael Vick is proof enough that it's not easy to do. Henceforth Bush should be drafted 1.

Draft Bush, trade Davis for pieces of an O-line.

I hate it how teams say who they're going to draft when they have the number one pick. If I was the owner though, I would seriously consider trading the pick. Bush is great, but he isnt barry sanders yet. Their offensive line is horrible and that has to be addressed. Davis and Carr are still young and very good players. Bush has more value than both of them combined, so use him to get those picks. I hope Tennesse makes a deal to get him :proud:

[quote]I think Tennessee should get a QB like Young or Leinart because McNair is probably gonna call it quits... if not this season, then in 2007....

I'd rather draft Bush if i were the Texans GM. They already have a good enuff QB, Carr, but they despirately need a good HB. Young is the next Michael Vick for sure :)

you know... looking at vince young in the rose bowl... he seems almost unstopable... i say houston trade carr and draft bush and by trading carr get a half decent guy on the o line or a back...

Only if there are new rules in the NFL that allow a team to play with no QB...

Dr Dweaver, you don't have to have a qb on the team. You could have 2 running backs and just direct snap it to the rb. Of course, it would never work, but it doesnt say in the rule book you need a qb.

As for the Titans draft, Bush would be great and they have Billy Volek who could fill the qb position for a couple of seasons, or they could just keep mcnair :proud:. Leinart would be a good pick too considering Norm Chow is there, and Vince young is michael vick evolved, the same way Jordan was Dr J evolved.

I wouldnt say David Carr is bad because even if you threw Tom Brady back there it wouldnt help any bit with that horrible O-Line. He is getting sacked left, right and center but yet he still threw more TDs than picks (14-11) with all that pressure in his face.

As for who I would pick, I would go with Bush. Vince is great and all but I believe Bush has more potential to be a star in the NFL. Plus, as stated above, I believe that the Texans shouldnt give up on Carr just yet (and they arent going to).

The only way I would draft Vince young if i was the texans is if i could get at least a 1st rounder for carr. This guy isnt Alex Smith, he can throw the ball. Him, Andre Johnson and Bush would be an exciting duo.

true. Replace 'rules' with 'established order' then, and you'll have it.

Hopefully he won't be what Harold Miner was to MJ, either.

So what, you think the Saints would be willing to pass on Bush/Young or the trade value of the number 2 pick for David Carr?

I think the more interesting question about the draft is if the Texans pick Vince Young, what will the Saints do with the number 2 pick? Would they trade down? Pick Bush and trade Deuce? I don't know about that. Deuce is a top 5-7 running back in the NFL. If I were the Saints I'd be hoping for Vince Young to still be there number 2. However, wouldn't it be interesting if the Texans picked Young, and the Saints picked Leinert, and Bush slipped all the way to the Texans?

Man, I love the draft.

What? The trade doesn't have to be with the saints and If they drafted Young, they wouldnt be able to get bush as well. The only way I'd draft young is if i got a first rounder in return from another team for david carr. It's not that diffficult of a concept.

Sorry, I read what you said wrong. I thought you were saying a combo of Vince/Johnson/Bush would be exciting. I mentioned the Saints because in order to get that combo, they would need the Number 2 pick.

I'm telling you guys, the Texans should trade their pick for the 3rd pick (Titans) and a 3rd rounder.

So the top three picks would look like this:

#1-Tennesse Titans select Reggie Bush
#2-New Orleans Saints select Matt Leinart
#3-Houston Texans select D‘Brickashaw Ferguson
#4-New York Jets select Vince Young
