It's a slightly green-tinted tan colour. Go ahead and use the eyedropper on the jersey of Wade that's in the background and tell me that isn't green.

It's not green. I desaturated the image and then set it behind a tan color.

Oh man...

Yes it does have some green, use the eyedropper like I said. It doesn't matter how you did somehting, all that matters is what you get.

I end up with a brownish color, but it may be because I have the settings on my monitor adjusted to brightness...

I'm currently working on an Iverson sig... it's almost done. I need help on something though...

I cut out this image using the pen tool for the first time

Image

I made the stupid mistake of having a black background and now i need to know if there is a quick and easy way to get rid of the background without having to cut the pic out again. The background doesnt come off with the magic wand w/o leaving a ugly black stroke around the pic.

Use the magic wand at a tolerance of about 32 (I think that's default) and delete. That will leave a little fringe around the outside, so go to layers-->matting-->defringe and defringe at 1-2 pixels.

And the cut looks pretty good man.

Thanks, I've gotten hooked on using the pen tool... it's more work definetly but i like having control over it. Never going back to the lasso again.

mk, here is what i have so far... I am done except for the text which i cannot decide where i should put it... or if i even need it at all. I'm going to put a border on it too. This is my first try at not making it monotone.... and graying out the player... lol

Few too many pics of Iverson IMO.

And for the pics of him try checking out the player effects tutorial I made in teh stickied Tutorial thread. Rihght now they're very bland.

And stay away from putting a stroke on grunge fonts.

yeah, i kind of thought that too, but i'm not very good at finding other things to fill in the pics... if I dont put pics of him in it, it usually ends up looking too brushed...

I actually have a burn effect on the pic of the far right.. i dont know if it's noticable or not though

Also, the middle pic is being used to cover up where i have different layers with contrasting colors. I would need something else to go there to cover where the layers would meet. :?

I couldn't figure out what to do with the text so i scrapped it. The first one I was going to try to make it look graphittied but I couldnt blend the text over the bricks in a way to make it look written on them.... so I just left the bricks there.

You need some kind of effect on the pic in the middle.
