The enormous government is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 32%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small but healthy private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Basket Weaving and Cheese Exports.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Pwned Your Ass's national animal is the beaver, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the gun.

From what I understand, this is why you want to join the UN: Only UN nations can vote whether or not they want to invade a country. So if you have any interest at all in this aspect of the game, then you'll want to join the UN if you want any sort of influence on the outcome.

The UN nations vote (also known as endorse) an invasion leader. Then together, we target a region... and well collectively move into that region. Once we're in that region, after 7am UK time, if our invasion leader has the most endorsements in that region, he gains delegacy. So I guess we need a lot of people in our region before we can start invading, or the opposing region can just outvote us.

I haven't read in detail about the process yet, but from what I've read so far, this is my understanding...
