Lets see...What about the Diesel? Shaq Daddy! A Cover Of Him Doin One Of Them Two Handed Monster Jams Where He Gets His Legs Way In The Air. I Wouldn't Mind A Webber Cover Being A Kings Fan But Since He Did Jam'99 And Shootout It Seems Unlikely. Amare still isn't a superstar, he's on his way. I don't think it would be foreign player. I'm gonna go on a hunch and play the recent PG picks and say they go with GP. Francis Kidd...PAYTON! It Makes Sense :D

how bout larry brown?

Mon May 19, 2003 10:11 am

Ya, putting a coach on the box is ingenious.

It would sell, but it would break EA's streak of new players on the cover (Shaq was on the cover of NBA Live 96 - the PC version at least).

Mon May 19, 2003 3:36 pm

I think the Live'04 team would pick the 13-MILLION $$ BRYANT REEVES on the cover.

Mon May 19, 2003 4:46 pm

hey, can they put two guys on the cover

If so put on Yao and Shaq ... I guess it'd sell in Asia as much as America...

Mon May 19, 2003 7:03 pm

I still think that T-Mac is gonna be on the cover. He won the scoring title and he's a walking highlight reel. He would be a natural choice.

But the fact is that the NBA has more stars now then 10 years ago. They might as a graphics freaks take this to a new level and maybe show an action shot of two players. Does anyone know who's been doing the graphics for EA this year?

And about LeBron James... Well this is propably the first high-schooler of whom is said that his greatest asset is his passing. Everyone has said that Kwame Brown is a flop, but remember that high schoolers usually take a few years to grow into the NBA game. Take a look at Jermaine, Kobe and T-Mac. No one of them were really good in their first season. Amare broke this wall already, but he is an exceptionally talented player. I predict that LeBron will do fine in the first season and maybe even win the ROY, but it will take a couple of years to really find his true potential. About Kwame, well he did have a couple of great games this year and I think he'll only get better... He is still only 20 or something like that.
I think the cover will feature T-Mac or two players...

That's another option too, feature more than one player on the cover, perhaps a collage of 5 of the best players in the NBA (who aren't signed with another company :P).

Mabey it will be someone like Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell :) . It wouldn't be a bad choice if EA wanted to promote the fact that classic teams are being included in the game. Better yet, a compilation of players from different decades.

Tue May 20, 2003 2:50 am

I think it'll be a young and developing 2nd tier star, maybe Shawn Marion, Richard Jefferson or something like that.

How about them both battling each other. Or Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.

But it could just be Vince Carter or Stephon Marbury (just thinking of a random possibility)

Tue May 20, 2003 10:26 am

Steph was on a shootout cover and Vince was on an Inside Drive so I don't know if that'll happen.

Wed May 21, 2003 5:30 pm

Gilbert Arenas would be a good choice.

Sun May 25, 2003 12:27 am

Amare played like 30mins per game, he was suppose to be good, Kobe, did play 30mins per game when he was a rookie.

I think the cover should be some international players, Dirk would be a good choice(although I don't like him), Yao Ming, or yeah, look at his face on that page, it's like his real face, T-mac doesn't look at T-mac. I say live 2004's cover is Yao Ming!!!!!!!!!

Amare sounds good, but I think Paul Pierce should be on the cover.

Paul Pierce is on NBA inside drive 2003's front cover.

Sun May 25, 2003 7:56 am

It would probably between ben wallace, t-mac and paul pierce.

But since pierce and t-mac have already appeared in other video games, EA would probably disregard them as candidates since they are most likely to be remebered for those other games. So it would probably be BIG BEN

..

I hope they'd put Steve Nash on the cover !!
