Spurs in 5 (didn't I say that about the Kings though?

). San Antonio's confidence has to be high after defeating the now former champs, and Tim Duncan is putting up MVP numbers.

Give your self some credit, that was before CWebb went down.

Dallas in five. The mavs would not allow Duncan to dominate and they will let his teammates beat them. Zone defense would be the problem of the spurs.

I say Mavs in 7. I don't think the Spurs will be able to stay with the Mavs up and down all night. Plus the Mavs have the size to deal with Duncan. The Nowitzki/Duncan matchup is going to be great.

mavs-spurs series is gonna be great. duncan/nowitzki matchup is gonna be great too. but the series win may be in the hands of van exel/ginobili matchup off the bench. so i say spurs in 6.

Spurs in 7.
Dallas has more weapons, but they can't rely on pick 'n roll, pick'n pop or Isolation with nick the quick.
Dallas Really struggled in game 1 with gaurding webber, and i cant imagine them being able to contain Duncan any better. Good point about the zone defense, but since game 1 against the suns, the spurs role players have been great and that has limited the success of the zone against Duncan. Should be a great series, and Dallas only has to neaturlise Duncan while the Spurs have to worry about 4 guys with the ability to beat them.
Should be fun, not as fun as kings/lakers, but still fun

That in itself could be my fault though. After all, I said Lakers in 6, and we know what happened there. Seems I've been granted the power of jinx.

Be every carefull
And use your powers wisely

i predict dallas in 5.
I don't see the spurs being able to stop the mav's from scoring.
and like somebody already said, the spurs are gonna struggle against the zone.
Nowitzki and duncan will probably cancel each other out, which leaves, finley against bowen , nash against parker (remember wat stephon did to him

). then van exel against ginobili will be another great matchup when the teams empty their benches.
Nelson against pop will be interesting too.
Should be a series for the ages.

Dallas in 5? wow!
I think Duncan is alot better than Nowtizki, and not so much one on one. But he is very team orientated, and much like pippen, he doesnt have to drop 30 to have an impact and make players around him better. Dirk scores, rebounds defensivley but thats about it. He doesn't post up much, which doesnt create many opportunites for cutters and also really bails out the defense becuase he isnt double teamed standing on the perimeter. Remember how bad the mavs problems were against webber in game 1 before webber went down? I can only imagine a similar crises for dallas.
Michael Finely will probably match up against Stephen Jackson. While Finely will dominate tis match up, the spurs havent had much of a contribution from Jackson last series and yet they still won.
Marbury dominated Parker becuase of his strength and trash talk. Parker played better after game 2. Nash is better, but this isnt a huge mismatch.

It's Mavericks

Thanx fer the correction PP...anyways back to the topic...I think it will be the Mavs cuz....i dont think the Spurs will be able to contain the Mavs' offense...and I think they will be able to do a decent job on Duncan with Dirk,Raef and maybe even....Shawn?
if the spurs were to win they need big games frum Parker, Bowen and Jackson game in and out...i still think Mavs offense will be too much for SA to handle
Mon May 19, 2003 5:56 am
mavs in 6 (sa will win two at home)
Mon May 19, 2003 12:11 pm
Did you guys see how Webber toyed with the Mavs? Duncan is better and more versatile than CWebb. I can't imagine how the Mavs can stop him if they couldn't handle webber.
As for the Mav's offense being too much. Well, Portland were able to run 3 straight games on them despite being depleted. San Antonio is a very good defensive team and they have good offensive players. Dallas can't guard anyone.
Spurs in 7

kings had the better all round team so dallas couldnt focus on stoping webber as much as they will be able to with duncan
