Simulation Type

A few days ago i bought NBA Live 2005 after playing NBA Live 2004 for a long time. After some editting i started a season. At the Season Setup there is an option called Simulation Type where you can choose between Regular and Intervention?
What's the difference between those two options?
I read something about that it let you interrupt the action and take charge in the middle of a game. Maybe i'm a stupid dutchman but i don't get it yet.

Regular will sim the entire game and give you a final score. Intervention sims one quarter at a time and will let you stop the sim in between quarters, then you can finish the game yourself.
