I'm just curious, I know you live in another country, so I don't know how often you are actually able to watch the NBA, but, how do you watch the Pacers play? Do you just see the games on National TV? Is there a station out there that brodcasts extra games or something?

I'm just wondering, because anybody who has actually seen Jax play more then a few times a year wouldn't say anything nearly that stupid.

. I see a lot of games through different sources and I really wouldn't wanna argue with a Pacers fan. I mean, its not like its only my opinion - look at his current scouting reports. Wait, I'll do it for you... Hoopshype has a track record of being quite reliable:

Physically gifted player... Quite talented on the offensive end... Can get to the basket and hit the three-pointer consistently... Not a great defender... Must improve decision-making... Turnover prone... Has some baggage.

I don't say he sucks, but he has a lot of defensive lapses. Like I said, he is mediocre at best, by what I mean that he is capable defender who won't hurt you at that side of the court, but you CANNOT have him as your stopper. He has the tools, but not the mentality.

In other news:
AP - Ron Artest doesn't want to be traded by the Indiana Pacers after all, his agent says.

Artest said last weekend that his past in Indiana haunts him, and he is interested in being traded to the New York Knicks or Cleveland Cavaliers .

But Mark Stevens, Artest's agent, told The Associated Press on Saturday that Artest holds out hope he can remain with the Pacers.

"At this moment, we're not going to put the buggy before the horse," Stevens said. "We're waiting to hear from (Pacers president) Donnie Walsh, the gentleman and scholar that he is, and hope this can be resolved to where there won't have to be a trade."

Teammate Stephen Jackson said Artest called him Friday night, and hopes his teammate will return.

"He wants to play basketball, that's all he wants to do," Jackson said before the Pacers played the New York Knicks . "He wants to play basketball, he wants to win.

Wait, so Artest demands a trade, and yet he uses his agent to say he wants to stay. Anyone else see something wrong with that.

I think it's too late now.

It is. The only one who's supporting him in Indiana is Jax. O'Neal doesn't want to talk about him, Croshere doesn't wat to talk about him, and Sarunas even said that the Pacers are feeling closer to each other without Ron.

He doesn't want to get traded. Well it's too late now. Too bad. So bad. (Or I would THINK the Pacers would say it's too late, but who knows)
Bored.

Sounds good to me. They get a rebounding and scoring but they give up the defense that Artest offers.

If there's a trade with the Warriors (I can't see that happening...) it will involve Pietrus.

Pietrus is a very talented player imo. He is quickly developing into a future star in the league. I bet the Pacers would love to have him around.

I don't about that. He could develop into one of the best defensive players in the league, but his b-ball IQ is too low to become a star. If the Warriors offer Diogu&Pietrus, I would take it.

I'd take it in an instant.

However, Shane Battier is my current favorite possibilty.

He would fit in so well with the Pacers organisation. He's the non-trash talking, hard working player that almost any team could use.

Plus, they get even more 3pt shooting (damn).

I don't mind that. MickEAl is a very up-and-coming player, but if we get Artest he'll find little playing time behind both him and J-Richardson. I prefer to keep Murphy at this point, rather than Pietrus.

But Diogu, I would not give him along in the trade. I'd ship Dunleavy first.

Ooh, Indiana would be good with Maggette. That should put them back as contenders if they get him (assuming he stays injury-free)

Yes Indiana would be good with Corey but Artest will destroy the clips chemistry

Maybe Corey to Indy, Artest to Atlanta and AH to clippers ?? Sounds good to me (except that indy want Artest to go west !!)

yea but if artest goes to the Hawks, the hawks aren't a play-offs contender so it don't matter much if he goes to the Hawks.

Indiana CEO Donnie Walsh hopes to pull the trigger on a deal to move Ron Artest in the coming days. As Walsh explained last week, it would take something "unusual" for him to back off his decision to trade Artest.

Some of the teams Walsh referred to include the Clippers, Timberwolves, Nuggets and Warriors. Even the Lakers are said to have interest. The Pacers feel they have enough players to man the point-guard spot. So they're looking to package backup Anthony Johnson in any deal. They're also well over the salary cap this year ($79 million) and next season ($69 million), so they'd also like to move some bad contracts when they deal Artest.

Walsh would prefer to get a young player and a draft pick in return. But don't look for him to bring in another small forward, not after what he's seen out of rookie Danny Granger.

mm lookin' for draft picks, moving bad contracts.. sounds like something the knicks can help with lol
