Delete retired players

Postby Erchamion on Tue Dec 13, 2005 6:28 am

I'm trying to edit my own rosters. I moved some retired player like Miller, Houston and Divac to the FA pool. The problem is when i play a season other teams are signing these retired players.

My question is if there is a way to delete players completely or put them
in another pool?

Do i need DB Commander and how do i use it for my problem?

Thanx.

Yes there is and you need DB Commander.

Find that player and change the "iscreated" to "True". Then open the game, load the rosters. Go to "Created Players List" and delete him from there. Then save your rosters again. :)

The safer way is to change their TEAM and SALARYTEAM to 38, I've found the other method can cause problems in the dbf files.

Last night i deleted most of the players by changing the iscreated like Sensation said. For most of the players that worked fine but some players
were causing crashes to the desktop. Could it be because of the problems you describe Andrew?

Thanx to both of you.
