The framerate, the game didn't run so smooth.....
It depends on your CPU and graphics card performance.
i'm concerned about the requirements for the new game to run it in full graphics...
That's the issue that people with slower CPUs can think of!

older systems need to be upgraded sometimes for us pc users, so get with the times and purchase a decent mobo (80 bux), decent cpu (80 bux), fair amount of memory (80 bux), and a decent vid card (you think 80, but more like 180 for a ti4600 if you look around)
as for the logo with two cover guys, i'm on the edge of drowsiness at the moment, but to me, it looks like t-mac is humping yao, could be wrong, who know

People are really jumping the gun. EA will implement a whole lot of stuff, just like they did for live 2003, that will not be advertised
P.S. Metsis. Finland didn't rock that hard this year against Sweden.

Well, in basket ball... They wouldn't have even gotten as far as the tournament. Only you swedes can do this to finland... Only you. It was one of the weirdest games of hockey I've ever seen, objectively speaking.
I have faith in the game... And I have faith that they will do a User Interface for the PC and not just for the consoles.

EA will work on what they already have, fixing up the problems we've complained about and improving the realism and gameplay
...hope so

Now I've got CPU powerful enough to play Live 2003 (Athlon XP 1700+ 1.4 GHz)

:?...
Lets hope that they have a different blocking engine.

umm... excuse me, I just would like to give you my personal input on this if I may ...
If all they're gonna do is work on improving the faults and displeasures of the same old game we all just bought last year, then dont you think they should just release it as an official patch?
I dont think its really fair for them to put out almost the exact same product and expect us to buy it. I take that as a slap in the face.
just my opinion.

This is EA we are talking about... They "need" the cash and we need a new game. As a patch, well EA don't get any money for that do they. And nowadays it's all about the cash.
They will do new features, but I'd like to see a game that really worked as it was meant to work. I for one would definately buy a new game if it has a better User Interface then Live 2003... And the game will look better, play better and seem better every year.
Although EA is known for milking money, well they do work for the cash too... I have many EASports products, basically NHL and NBA games and they are all always better then the product before and in some very extensive way aka you couldn't do it with a patch different and better.
NBA series took a dive when they changed the team, but I hope they have already learnt how to make a good ground for games to come.

I'm looking forward to the game. From all I've read, some good ideas are being implemented... Hope they get us a good final product... Gameplay is what matters most,

Hell, I'd buy it just for the sliders (which were in March Madness, btw) and Marv Albert doing the commentary....

Well, it won't be the exact same game. It will have new features (a deeper multi-season mode, sliders, etc), it's just that one of the differences will be improvements to the gameplay and problems from Live 2003 fixed.

I hope they can make a new blocking system, i'm sick of being blocked by players like AI, B.Davis, Parker, etc...

I dont care bouth improving the graphics, 2003 was fine.. i just hop ehtey fix the gamplay, bball fundamentals like traveling, stepping on the line an three still counts, dumb AI etc. also, sana they could fix the error when you teammates accidentally push you out of bounds. traveling too ! YUN LANG.hehe

I wasnt able to read the preview clearly, but did they say theyd fix the realism? coz if they didnt, and 2004 is same arcade crap as 2003 ( BTW thanks to the patchers for saving the game) Its still not worth buying
Sun May 18, 2003 8:05 pm
The previews from GameSpy and IGN have both mentioned improved realism and a move away from an arcade style game.

I hope they put some better default shoes in (even though we can change them easily.) And some of those headshapes are way off. I like the one with T-Mac vs. Kobe.
Tue May 20, 2003 11:23 am
When t-mac puts the ball behind his back..thats exactly how he does it. Individual moves will be sick.
