Isaiah "JR" Rider has worn out his welcome in the league...so has Dennis Rodman, but he's over 40 now, so he'd probably be looking towards retirement anyway...Stanley Roberts was recently reinstated after a lifetime ban for substance abuse...Kevin Duckworth basically retired, as did Sam Bowie...Yinka Dare played in the CBA, he might still be there...Keith Closs' career ended because he wasn't in playing shape (too underweight)...Ed O'Bannon is overseas, and apparently suffering greatly from knee problems...Chris Porter is probably in one of the minor leagues...Ratko Varda was released by the Wiz, and is either overseas or in a minor league.

isn't ratko varda suffering from heart disease ? or is it zeljko rebraca ?

chris porter & yinka dare are effectively in minor leagues. look at this thread which was very very interesting in my opinion !

It was Rebraca who had an irregular heartbeat.

James White is a highschool player
Stanley Roberts is a Globetrotter
Michael Wilson still is a Globetrotter I think, they visited my country a year ago and he was there and he still is on the roster

its just seems amazing how good the NBA has become, pple are complaining that its all about the adds, not the game etc etc... but if u look at those players stats, u see that they were great collage players, amazing players, yet they came to the nba maybe at the wrong time, wrong team what ever, but now they r plying in some country, maybe 40 years ago they would have been superstars!!

Leon Smith, JR Rider, Stanley Roberts, Kevin Duckworth => drug problems

Sam Bowie => career destroyed by injuries

Yinka Dare => :lol:

i don't think the middle level of NBAers really increases those last years and is far better than 20 or 40 years ago (though I don't think the level is bad). But some of good players before now disappeared had some problem (drugs, booze, injuries) or simply didn't work hard enough.
and they will be forever good college players that will make a flop once drafted

I don't think the middle level players in the NBA are now better or anything compared to the old days, I think it's probably about the same.

People shouldn't make so much trouble about the talent level, the draft of Elton Brand, Steve Francis etc was supposed to be weak, look at what kind of players it has produced. When Larry Johnson is picked #1 and not one of the players after him would be considered for the lottery these days, THEN it's a weak draft.

The top 5 of that draft would probably all get consideration for the lottery now, after that only like 5 players from the entire draft were considered decent to good.

I don't see why Sebastian Telfair is on that list. He made All-American First Team this year.

James White isn't a high school player... He plays for Florida, I dunno if he's a sophomore or junior though...

Have any of you guys seen footage of James White dunking..... :shock: . I got this one clip of him jumping about six inches inside the freethrow line and cocking the ball behind his head and thowing it down with two hands! It was pretty amazing. Seems to be a bit of a Harold Minor thought, amazing hops and dunking abilty but a fairly average game.
