PHX 4ever: Tha Dynasty (6-0)...SAC, DET, GSW recaps

Postby PHX4ever on Wed Nov 02, 2005 8:50 pm

I will start my suns dynasty as soon as Andrew releases the roster update. My other dynasty settings will be like this:

SEASON LENGTH: 82 games
QUARTER LENGTH: 8 minutes
RECAP FREQUENCY: I will do 3 or 4 game recaps just like in NBA Action

2005 - 2006 ROSTER PREVIEW

Starting Lineup

Steve Nash (PG): Being originally drafted by Suns, the reigning MVP is ready for another challenge and will be the cornerstone of the dynasty.

Jim Jackson (SG): With Joe Johnson and Quentin Richardson gone, JJ is going to fill the SG spot. He is an experienced shooter and will help the team much until his contract expires or he retires at the end of the season.

Shawn Marion (SF): Returning to SF position the Matrix will continue his all around play. He is another big part to the dynasty and another star drafted by Suns.

Amare Stoudemire (PF): He improves himself more and more. Amare will be the third key to the dynasty with Nash and Marion. He will display his strength under the rim. He was drafted by Suns just like Nash and Marion.

Kurt Thomas (C): Suns finally got a true center to start. Being a bit undersized, Kurt is a well rebounder and will show inside presence.

Bench

Leandro Barbosa (G): He is a good shooter. Suns likely to keep him and bring him off the bench.

Boris Diaw (G): He is a good defender and can some work off the bench.

Raja Bell (G/F): Raja is a good dunker and shooter and can do solid performances.

James Jones (G/F): He is a good scorer and proved himself in preseason.

Jared Reiner (C) / Lucas Tischer (F): Both are not likely to make Suns roster this season for too long. One of them will be in the bench along with Brian Grant and Pat Burke.

Pat Burke (C): The first Irish-born player in the league has a good size and will try to help the team off the bench.

Brian Grant (F/C): He is a veteran big man and a good part to the roster.

Injured Reserves

Eddie House (G): He has good shots and can back up both guard positions. He will show up in major injuries of the main players.

Dijon Thompson (G/F): The 2nd round pick of Knicks has to work hard to stay in the roster.

Jared Reiner (C) / Lucas Tischer (F): One of them will be in the bench and the other one in the IR list.

This thread is not a nickname discussion place. If someone with similar nickname to mine would do a dynasty i would read it without posting such phrases. I dont go around and say "You suck because all you have is pictures and images of that team" or "Oh you say you dislike my favorite team so that means you suck" In the end, its all an opinion and opinions change from person to person.

So wankster be more polite and dont attack my thread for no reason.

What to do with Amare if he is in the IR list and hasnt an injury sign beneath his name?

Yeah thats a major point that players dont start in injury situations.
For instance, players in Championship Manager (soccer) start injured as in real life.

That is not going to happen in Live 06 so im going to do it with Amare.

Here is the Suns staff for the 2005-2006 campaign:

Leif Gillis (Assistant Coach, Age 52): Coach Gillis is an experienced person especially in defense which the Suns mostly need to do. He was signed by Suns for 2 years at 1.23M.

Solomon Houston (Trainer, Age 39): He will be busy with player injuries. He is specialized in arms. He was signed for 3 years at 575K.

Judah Charles (Scout, Age 59): Scout Charles is very reliable and he will provide the GM with information about upcoming drafts and opponents. He is specialized in North America region and was signed for 2 years at 498K.

TRAINING CAMP 2005

The Suns practiced for the upcoming season and defense was the main point. Defense wins championships, as they say, and that was the missing part in Suns' game system. They practiced defense with defense specialist Coach Gillis. They also worked on offensive plays and athleticism.

Players who stepped up during the camp were Stoudemire and Marion, improving their all-around game. Reiner, Thompson and Bell also advanced theirselves.

After the training camp the lineup was formed:

Starters: G Nash, G Jackson, C Thomas, F Marion, F Stoudemire.

Bench: G Barbosa, G Diaw, G/F Bell, F Jones, F/C Grant, F/C Reiner, C Burke

Injured Reserves: G House, G/F Thompson, F Tischer

No changes were made to the roster and the Suns are ready for the season opener against Dallas at home.
