Wow....the ante and the bar has just been with raised with this Trinasty! I've decided to completely stop doing a dynasty thread after seeing the amazing work you guys have done in the past(and current) and solely concentrate on enhancing the Dynaster experience. Seraph was mentioning about the Texas Twister and now I see it unfold...

...nevertheless, send your pstat file (Y) ...I wonder what logistical coding hurdles I'm going to have to jump over to accomodate all three of you!

Mavericks Box | Bucks Box

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, (Ticker) -- Devin Harris is making a bid for more playing time in the Dallas Mavericks' crowded backcourt.Harris scored 8 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Mavericks posted a 109-87 preseason victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The fifth overall selection in the 2004 draft, Harris averaged just over 15 minutes in 76 games in his rookie campaign and is expected to back up Jason Terry at point guard. Tonight, Harris also dished out 10 assists and grabbed 6 boards and helped control the tempo for most of the game.

The Mavs were focused most of the game and right before halftime, they took a 47-45 lead, but the Bucks went on a run at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. TJ Ford went down with an injury and the Bucks just fail apart missing 12 consecutive shots to give the Mavs an opportunity to take the lead with 1:13 left. Mavs kept the momentum going into the 4th quarter as they held a 76-70 lead. Avery Johnson at post game conference says it was great to see the young players (Daniels, Howard, Harris, Mebenga) playing well in the crunch, he plans to use the pre season to give them a chance to adapt to the pressure situations for when the Vets are tired. Michal Redd had a tough time getting into a rhythm as he got into early foul trouble, but he still ended up finishing with 20 points. Bobby Simmons led the Bucks with 21 points and newly acquired center Jamaal Magloire added 12 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 33 points and 10 rebounds.

Jason Terry on Harris' performance: "It was great to see him play so well, especially in he 4th, now coach can have the confidence to play him in close situations when I’m tired."

Heat Box | Rockets Box

HOUSTON, Texas, (Ticker) -- Newly acquired Stromile Swift has been seeing plenty of action with the Rockets through the pre-season and is competing for the starting spot against Juwan Howard. He has been making the most of his time as well. Swift scored six of his 15 points in the final period, including a pair of clutch free throws with under a minute left in the game, as the Houston Rockets edged the Miami Heat, 90-81.

Swift joined a Rockets team that had veterans Juwan Howard and Ryan Bowen capable of playing power forward, but he knew that he had to come in and play the way he knew he was capable of playing. A dunk by Yao Ming, who had 20 points and 16 rebounds, gave the Rockets the lead for good at 83-77 with 1:29 remaining. Jon Barry added a driving layup 43 seconds later. A basket by Antoine Walker cut the deficit to points with 34 secs left to play and that’s the closest the Heat got to Houston as Tracy McGrady drained a jumper in the corner to seal the game.

Tracy McGrady finished with 24 points and Jon Barry added 11 for the Rockets, who played virtually all of their regulars. Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’neal scored 20 points apiece and Jason Williams added 17 for the Heat, who played without small forward James Posey who was injured.

Ginobili scored seven points in the first quarter and finished with 17 and four rebounds for the Spurs, who posted a 106-92 preseason triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers. Former Laker Robert Horry ended up finishing with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs.

The Spurs held a 25-18 edge after one quarter and a 45-44 advantage at the break. Overall, they played more organized basketball against the Lakers. Kobe Bryant was the only spark the Lakers had in the first half as he ended up scoring 22 of his 31 points in the 2nd quarter. Lakers forward Lamar Odom scored 12 points to help pace the Lakers and Devean George added 11 off the bench. Newly acquired Kwame Brown scored eight points and grabbed 9 boards for LA.

Kings Box | Mavericks Box

DALLAS, Texas, (Ticker) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 36 points, and help his team stay in the game in the 4th quarter and overtime, as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Sacramento Kings 123-118, in preseason action. Dirk had a big 2nd quarter as he scored 15 points and blocked 3 shots to help Dallas go into the half with a 58-52 lead. Later on in the 3rd quarter, Nowitzki put up 12 points. The Mavs had a hard time stopping Peja Stojakovic in the 3rd, as he scored 15 for the Kings in that quarter.

Sacremento went on a 10-2 run at the start of the 4th to take a 85-84 lead, from then on, the lead exchanged hands for the rest of the quarter. With 15 seconds left, the Kings had possesion and the score was tied at 106-106. Wells had a chance to win the game with a three-pointer but it hit iron and came out. Mavs showed far more clutch in overtime even though the game was close throughout, and there were some poor coaching decisions from the Kings.

Josh Howard finished the game with a triple double as he scored 27 points, grabbed 10 boards and dished out 11 assists. Peja Stojakovice scored 31 points and Mike Bibby added 24 for the Kings. Newly acquired Shareef Abudr-Rahim had a double-double with 14 rebounds and 11 points and Bonzi Wells came up with 16 points for the Kings.

Rockets Box | Grizzlies Box

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, (Ticker) -- The Rockets continued to show that they’re going to mean business this season as they played down to the last second of tonight’s game against the Grizzlies. Tracy McGrady finished the game with 27 points and 4 assists as he help play great defense on Eddie Jones in the last seconds to give the Rockets the 112-110 win in overtime.

Guard Rafer Alston drove to the basket with an and 1 play to make the score 96-93 with 1:08 remaining in regulation and made it 97-93 with the extra free throw. After a timeout, Memphis found Eddie Jones at the top of the key for a midrange jumper that closed the gap to two points. Seconds later, Gasol received the ball in the post and made a 12-foot jumper to tie the game at 97-97 with 33.2 seconds. Tracy McGrady missed a forced jump that would’ve gave Houston the lead again, but Memphis called a timeout with 20.8 secs after grabbing the rebound.

After the timeout, Memphis looked inside to Gasol who was doubled quickly, and he passed it back out to Stoudamire. He held the ball and attempted a shot with 2.1 secs left that missed out the front iron and Houston quickly grabbed the board and called a timeout with 0.6 secs. After the timeout, they quickly fed Wesley the ball and he attempted a 30-foot jumper that hit the front of the rim with the regulation horn sounding.

The game was going back in forth in overtime and as the Grizzlies passed the ball into Gasol with 22.8 secs left, Alston came in and stripped it away. McGrady set the ball up at the top of the key and called for a pick from Yao. As McGrady went around the pick, Lorenzen Wright came out too far which left Yao open in the middle for an easy hook shot that put Houston up 112-110 with 8.3 secs left and Memphis used a timeout. Battier passed the ball in to Stoudamire, then he found Jones who attempted the game winning 3-pointer with McGrady in his face and the ball hit the back of the rim as time expired. The leading score for Memphis was Gasol with 23 points and he also had 16 boards.

Spurs Box | Knicks Box

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Ticker) -- The new big man in the big apple broke out against the defending NBA champions. Eddy Curry scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and played big down the stretch as the New York Knicks posted a 108-105 preseason victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Knicks controlled the game for the most part and dismantled the Spurs in the 3rd quarter as they were up by double digits. San Antonio tried to make a run late in the 4th quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their deficit. Stephon Marbury got in early foul trouble with the Knicks, but rookie Nate Robinson came in and contributed well off the bench with 6 points and 3 assists. Jamal Crawford also got injured in the 2nd quarter and never came back for New York.

Quentin Richardson scored 15 points and both Matt Barnes and Jamal Crawford scored 12 points apiece. Former MVP, Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 32 points and 16 boards. Ginobili added 15 for San Antonio.

Nash Shoots Horrible; Marion Took Up For It

Mavericks Box | Suns Box

PHOENIX, Nov. 1 (Ticker) -- Since the Suns were using a small backcourt, it gave Coach Johnson a chance to try a backcourt of Jason Terry and Devin Harris. The scoring for the game opened with Josh Howard dunking and getting the “and 1” finish. The Mavs continued their great offensive production with Harris and Howard teaming up for some great plays. The Suns got into some early foul trouble which sent the Mavs to the line frequently during the first quarter. However, a certain guy name Shawn Marion stepped up to keep the Suns in the game knocking down 10 of his 24 points in the first quarter.

The Suns opened up the 2nd quarter with a 6-0 run, who dominated the quarter and controlled the flow of the game. Nowitzki’s 19 first half points did pull Dallas back within’ two points at the end of the half as Phoenix led 48-46. “We knew that we had to outscore them for us to win this game and after having a big lead, we let them back in the game.” Coach D’Antonio said. Josh Howard ended up making two consecutive three pointers to tie the game at 54-54 after the first two minutes of the 2nd half. “The 3rd was a very up and down quarter for both sides,” Nowitzki said.

Nowitzki finished the quarter with 30 points and was on fire for the Mavs which was really their only bright spot in the 3rd quarter. Phoenix came out firing on all cylinders with a 10-2 run to start the 4th quarter. Steve Nash was able to keep the pace the whole quarter and was thinking more about dishing the ball than shooting because of his 6-25 field goal performance. After scoring 30 points in the first 3 quarters, Nowitzki was ice cold in the 4th quarter not scoring any points which hurt the Mavs late in the game. "We committed far too many turnovers,“ Coach Johnson said. “We actually played well on offense for most of the game, but we went through stages where we rushed too much and couldn’t control our shot choice. Our defense was what we lacked in." Shawn Marion finished the game with 24 points and 15 rebounds and 8 of the rebounds being offensive.

Nuggets Box | Spurs Box

SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 1 (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs renewed a pair of Opening Night traditions. The Denver Nuggets continued a couple they would like to stop. After receiving their championship rings, the Spurs rode Tony Parker and MVP Tim Duncan to their ninth straight season-opening win, a 93-87 victory over the hard-luck Nuggets. "It was a good win against a very good basketball team, especially after getting the rings," said San Antonio coach Greg Popovich, who improved to 9-0 in openers. "A lot of guys participated and it worked out well."

Prior to the game, the Spurs received rings for their third title in seven years from NBA commissioner David Stern before unveiling their 2005 championship banner. They are favored to repeat as champions following an offseason where they added former All-Stars Finley and Nick Van Exel. Coming off the bench for the first time since his 1995-96 rookie season, Finley felt comfortable. He scored 5 points on just 2-of-4 shooting and came up with some big defensive plays down the stretch. "A lot has changed in the past year, but the game of basketball has remained the same," Finley said. "I have put myself in a position where I am very happy and very comfortable. After watching the team get its rings, I was very emotional. I want one of those. We have such a deep team that my minutes will be limited. I'm prepared to play as much or as little as coach decides."

Duncan dominated the final period as he scored 11 of his teams 16 points. They have not lost a season opener since the 1997 arrival of superstar forward Tim Duncan, who ended up finishing with 26 points and 6 rebounds. "It was a great game all around," Duncan said. "We didn't play as well defensively as we would like to, but we grinded it out." Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points and Kenyon Martin led the team with 22. "If we could have kept some of the intensity we had earlier in the game we would have been all right," Anthony said. "San Antonio is a tough team and this is a tough place to come into and try to steal a game. They give you nothing. They are tough."

Kings Box | Rockets Box

HOUSTON, Nov. 2 (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets got a huge push off the bench from newcomer Stromile Swift to defeat one of their biggest Western Conference rivals. Swift scored 17 points and added six rebounds in just 20 minutes as the Rockets posted a 122-109 triumph over the Sacramento Kings. Derek Anderson, who collected 17 points and 7 assists, scored five points during an 11-2 burst to open the game as the Rockets took the lead for good leading 43-18 at the end of the first quarter. "We knew the first five minutes of the firstquarter were very crucial," Anderson said. "I think we held them scoreless for about four or five minutes there, and that really started to get us going.”

Newcomer Bonzi Wells had 26 points and 4 rebounds for the Kings. "I just tried to come out and contribute the best way I could,“ Wells said. "Unfortunately, it didn‘t result in a win, but we will just go back to the drawing board and work harder next game.." Peja Stojakovic added 21 points but just six in the 2nd half thanks to the efforts of Tracy McGrady. "Peja was getting a lot of good looks. He was coming off screens, he was hitting cutters," McGrady said. "We finally just started getting up on him..”

Tracy McGrady led the Rockets with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, who had lost seven of its previous nine matchups against the Kings. The Rockets' bench held a 40-28 scoring edge. "Having that depth is a real key for us," McGrady said. "Those guys come out and not only pick up the intensity, they score as well. Stro did a heckuva job. Wesley’s shooting was outstanding."

Mark, an interesting ploy to start Harris....although he played well for you in pre-season and the fact that Barbosa started for Suns at SG, I probably would have gone with Terry at PG and Daniels at SG....ahh well, better luck next time (Y)

Mafia, looks like the high scoring ways of the Suns and Sixers are now with the Rockets....Swift was big-time for you, how long until he starts?!? Or is he the spark off the bench that your team needs?!?

Seraph, let me know when Marks is on your active roster
