Renders aren't what they say they are on GameRenders.com... a render is a computer generated image (Colin knows more about this than I do), a Render isn't a simple PSD cut out.

Jae has the basics. Technically the only things that get used in online graphics work that are renders are things you've made in Cinema 4D or Bryce. Screenshots from games are pre-rendered, and you just mask them. And photos are simply stocks. If they're cut they're cut stocks. Of course, explaining that everytime gets tedious, so I don't. For the same reason I don't explain that the look you get from the 'cutout' filter isn't actually vector. If you check my thread you'll notice I refer to my Nas 'vector' as just that. A 'vector', quotations are there for a reason.

can you make me a sig that says Wanksters Pistons and with a picture of Darko Milicic make it 450x100. Can you also make an avator to match?

Aint your best work but yet. Colors could be better and font as well. I don't know why you were working on the fotn for an hour. Maybe try a different style. using to much of that "Spiderman Tutorial" with the background and all.

I just made this, I really like the background, I finally used color balance, I know the text could use some more work, but I really like the final result.

sorry but your darko sig for wankster is still repetitive! And the text is bad dude. On another note, your earl boykins sig is good. I like it (Y)

You only JUST started using color balance layers!!! :o

I thought with all those gamerenders tut's you'd be on to that. That Boykins sig is pretty good, but remove the blue colour balance from the yellow part of the logo and put a yellow colour balance in it's place. Multi-colouring is your friend. And look at this, specifically the lighting part at the beginning.

I knew about color balance for a long time, I just used the picture to color the image, so I already knew about color balance, thanks for the tut, I will try it for my next sig.

Well I tried using that tutorial. How is this?

Text sucks, I know, I can't seem to get a good effect, I have like 1000 fonts and I don't wanna scroll through that huge list to find a good font.

It's an interesting sig, I don't mind it but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Text is plain awful, I know you say you don't want to scroll through 1000 fonts to find one, but you seem to use the same thing every time.

It's icky. Just icky. It's a lot like your older sigs (before you went on that vg render streak) in that it's just some very random grunge brushing and a picture that doesn't really flow with it very well.

And that's probably the worst text I've seen you use before (barring those really early works of course)

Sorry man, not feeling that sig. Once again, take you time and you will be more creative. Don't take 10 min to do a sig.

And there in lies your problem. You can't just follow a tutorial step by step unless you're replicating what has been done. I'm assuming you are using a different picture/different colours or whatever. You have to be able to adapt the things you learn in tuts to what you're doing.

That's one of your best. Other than the few places on the BG where it's repetitive (right side, top left) it looks pretty good. Text ain't too bad either.
