Let's see how Tracy does on a game 7...

Meanwhile... Wallace is killing people... Killing...

By checking the box score I think the Magic tried a hack-a-Ben tonight... As Wallace shot 22 free throws...

lol, tales your right
only Tom Tolbert called it a bang-a-Ben lol

for about 1-2mins they just kept fouling him, it was a pretty good strategy.

I think it was an attempt to disrupt the Pistons' offensive rhythm by treating Wallace as the go to guy, but it didn't work as planned, seeing as though he had 20, Rip had 22 and Billups had 40.

It worked in so much as it put a poor free throw shooter on the line for 22 attempts, of which he only made 8, but it didn't disrupt the whole team's rhythm as I suspect the Magic were trying to do, nor did it prevent Wallace from scoring 20 points.

I think Ben Wallace truly is today's Dennis Rodman, without the sideshow and zany antics and with better shot blocking. Like the Worm, Big Ben is dedicated to defense and rebounding, but can score if needed - surprising everyone with the occasional 20 foot jumpshot from time to time.

All the Magic were trying to achieve was to come back in the last few minutes by continually fouling Ben as soon as Detroit touched the ball. Thing is the Magic didn't hit their shots after Big Ben's misses so it was a big waste of time.

this is not good. i think t-mac should take over the game. if orlando wants to win they should benched pat garrity coz he really SUCKS!!!!! he doesn't rebound the ball that's why ben wallace is having an easy time grabbing the ball and billups is just awesome. i wonder why the wolves let him go?

Think they wanted to let him go??? He signed with Detroit because he wanted to be with Detroit, not because the Wolves 'let him go.'

no. i think billups went to detroit because of garnett a player who just can't carry his team pass the first round(7 times).

what do you mean t-mac should take over??
he does
just not enough atm.
in the first couple of games he did.

and about garrity.........do you watch the games
he is benched, he doesnt start.
and he is averaging more rebounds than points throughout the series lol

i meant that t-mac should drive strong to the hoop and get some fouls. on garrity i meant that doc rivers should dnp him. he doesn't help the team and he box out like a kid and can't make wide open shots.

yer i hear ya.
but big ben is so good at preventing fouls, so its hard for t-mac to go straight to the hoop and not get blocked
if ya get my drift

anyway garrity usually knocks down open shots, but i think it could be the injury.

can't make wide open shots.

Pat Garrity is one of the best catch and shoot players in the game.

lol, pistons are gonna win that series in 6.
coz the pistons will let AI get his points, just like they did t-mac, but they'll shutdown all the other players which should lead to the win, unless AI averages like 45ppg

"For a guy like me, who's been bounced from the first round of the playoffs three straight years, to finally get to experience the second round, it just feels great."
— Orlando's Tracy McGrady, with a quote that was actually uttered a couple nights back ... but a quote that had to appear in this space. If your eyebrows arched when Kevin Garnett said the L.A. series would be over if Minnesota won Game 4, what's your reaction to this one? McGrady made this statement at 3-1, and, at last check, Orlando still isn't in the second round yet.

Man how is that for a cocky fuck!!
haaahaahahahaaahahhaha
serves ya self right T-Wack.
once again another stupid 1st rnd remark by grady

But is it any more stupid than Shaq saying the Kings never challenged them in last year's Western Finals?

McGrady's remark is an indication as to what should have happened - the Magic advancing in Game 5. The Magic were in great position to upset the Pistons and had history on their side - before this year's playoffs, only 6 out of 288 7 game series ended with a team coming back from 3-1 to win the series.

Make that 7 out of 296.

boy this sure sucks. I've only been getting none stop disappointments in the play offs. Every team that advanced...i didn't want them to..except the sixers and nets.

I agree. What I meant was T-Mac's remark was one game too early, but an indication of how the series was expected to end - prematurely made, but an expectation that had history on its side. It's also an indication of what was probably the problem in the final three games - Orlando felt it had the series won at 3-1.

That's not to take anything away from Detroit, but to consider the series over when it's not over is to invite a comeback from a team that looks beaten.
