It's turning a little more into a two-men conversation right now, oh well..
The text actually looks a lot better IMO, maybe try deleting the dots from the text and maybe even put a black border around it.
I love Scriptina with a black border around it. :D

Awell, if it wasn't a two man conversation I'd just be talking to myself. Although I could make a few really really shit sigs and get alot more replies  that seems to be the way to go.

I'll leave it at that and move onto something else. I was doing Pau Gasol in a Knicks jersey but it kinda fell apart since I can't find any decent text/numbers to go on it. I'll put that up later on.

Sun Oct 30, 2005 1:25 am

Yeah...shitty sigs = longer thread.

Think of it this way, people don't have anything to complain about the stuff you made. I'm starting to get sick of Scriptina though. Kinda like the Matrix font and another font that I forgot the name of. That's why I'm kinda hesitant to tell people about Scriptina now  even though I just asked Alex on .org about it

as for the sig, I like it. Even with the font in the earlier versions. Don't really like Francise though but that's another story

Sun Oct 30, 2005 1:51 am

I like that sig, and yea that font does get old, but it looks pretty good.

Sun Oct 30, 2005 1:52 am

Pau on the Knicks?? That would look just wrong  . I like the background a text on the Steve Francis pic, nice job with that, the picture is pretty good too. (Y)

Me neither  but I made a blue background so I figured I'd use someone from Orlando. I don't think I've ever used Scriptina before, I had to search dafont.com for it.

Here's the Gasol thing...

You sent me that jersey switch ages ago (Y)

i like the franchise sig

Sun Oct 30, 2005 2:28 pm

Nice sig Jae. (Y)

The Switch is too saturated IMO.

Sun Oct 30, 2005 2:44 pm

Switch looks pretty good. About the sig: I don't like the dots overlay over the orlando magic text at the top, and Stevie looks a little too red. I'm not sure if you have a duplicate layer there, but try duplicating the layer and give it a blue hue at about 30 saturation and setting it to soft light/overlay or w/e. I just threw yours into PS and there's a lot of red. So I duplicated set to hue 220, saturation 100, lightness about 20. Duplicated that one again and set the opacity to about 30 and had both of them on soft light. Then I used the sponge tool on desaturate at 30% and used it on a few spots on the original Francis layer to get rid of some red.

Like so:

Actually, I think Colin's Franchise shows Steve too dull, or grey. The vibrancy works better with the original, but the red can be desaturated in isolation rather than give it a blue hue.

As for the jersey swap, it looks great, but the red lines are way too vibrant.

I agree with everything said in the above post (Y)

Finally decided to make something. It's ok, nothing special:

The white bit down the bottom was semi deliberate... for task bars and such.

Wed Dec 07, 2005 3:34 pm

Damn Brand bandwagoners :x

J/k, it's a nice wall, i like it's plain-ness and simplicity

Everything is good except the Los Angeles Clippers text along the bottom. Not only do I not like it, but it wouldn't work anyway as the taskbar would cut part of it off if it's actually used as a desktop.

I skimmed that and thought it said the 'whole bit', and was confused. Then I didn't notice the white part.

It's neat, it's not often I see the NBA court in the background within a wallpaper, and the effects used are very nice (y) I'm not too sure about seeing Elton's Brand's name six times.

I need some help with this. It seems bland to me, but I don't really know what else to do with it.

Sat Jan 28, 2006 11:31 pm

Looks pretty good. The blurred background doesn't seem to go well with the grungy look of the text IMO. I like the text. Looks ECW-ish. Don't know what else to add to it.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 7:14 am

On the contrary, I like the contrast with the type and the background, which are both very well done. The picture, to put it bluntly, just sucks, but that's understandable since I don't think there's very many high-res pics of Daniel Ewing. The "blandness" might be the grey and red; perhaps another color might help it a bit.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 12:04 pm

Do you mean the background pic of the main pic? I actually found about 5 mega-res Daniel Ewing pics from his Duke days, so I can always swap over.

In the original version that red circle was actually blue, I'm not sure if it contrasted too well though.

Mon Jan 30, 2006 7:41 am

I meant the main pic of him going for an uncontrolled layup isn't a good choice, but the background pic is good. Changing the red circle might bring out the blues in his jersey more, but I don't know if it'll be too much or not.. might want to test it out.

I made this today, just trying out a few new ideas. Make sure you look at the bigger version, it looks quite shit when thumbnailed....

Think the box outside?.

oh i get it, Think OUTSIDE the box.

And here I was thinking "no one will be stupid enough to read it like that"
