PS2, XBOX, GC--where's the PC version?

Postby cocobee on Wed Apr 30, 2003 1:39 am

According to an early preview in EGM(Gaming magazine)--the PC version was left out of the platforms for nba live 2004.

Please someone confirm that it is or isn't coming out for the PC? That would suck if they skipped the 2004 version. (Tim or Andrew)

I believe that's only because the pc version usually comes out a month or two after the console versions, so EA had nothing from the pc to show at the time.

But they'll usually put that it's coming out for the PC regardless. Andrew, would you be able to ask Tim if a 2004 version is coming our way(PC)? I don't even want to know the features yet, I would just like to know if there's going to be a PC version.

thanks

lol..man..i like how they have changed the body types and all...but it seems that instead of overly muscular players...we get overly skinny players. Who's making this game?..the guys who make nba street?...lol.

Like someone on that board said..looks like something straight outta atari.

looks like something out of atari because its a poor scan. Oh and at least it looks realistic in terms of yao blocking by putting his hand up instead of trying to slam the ball a million miles away.

It was just discussed in this thread over at nbalive.org and it is apparently coming out for PC. (Y)

It was probably because XBOX, Ps2, GC come out earlier than the PC version. And yeah, it was a crappy scan...that's why it looks so shitty. :)

Ben, over at nbalive.org wrote:EGM doesn't cover PC games, and thus I doubt they'd list it in the preview box...

EA sources are currently reporting it is coming out for PC (along with PS2, XBox, GameCube) and also are disgusted at the quality of the pic

Umm nick..thanks for the info but i hardly consider ben over at nbalive.org to be credible info. I mean...where did/does he get his info from? I think I'll wait til andrew gets official word from Tim before i rest easy.

Um..your demonizer comment is totally irrelevant and uncalled for. Keep it within the point of what you're trying to say.thanks

EDIT....every other post stays on topic.

I haven't been able to email Tim until now as I haven't been able to log in to my webmail account, I'll let you know when he replies. Personally, I think it's just an oversight, but confirmation never hurt anyone. :)

Why do you need confirmation? Ben already confirmed it with Tim.. at this point in time NBA Live 2004 is coming out on PC...

There were some other matters I had to email Tim about anyway, so I didn't see any harm in asking. Additionally, I sent the email before I visited the forum today, so I wasn't aware of any prior confirmation or announcements.

For those of you who like to be absolutely sure/didn't read the thread at nbalive.org/just like reading my posts, there will be an NBA Live 2004 for the PC. I would have emailed Tim sooner, but as I said, I had problems with my email account. As with most forms of technology, problems generally arise when I need to use it at a precise moment.

Thanks fellas, that's all i needed to know! I wonder if they are going to pick up that "owner" mode in the game. I'd be happy if they add game sliders and draft picks, and keep making patching the game easy!

Thanks again!

P.S.

Sliders like the madden series, a cpu slider and human sliders. This game would be off the hook gameplay wise and we all know what these patchers can do to this game already.
