brad feet wrote:nice idea about the pictures X, i like it....... props to you for giving tribute to Collier even though his not your guy..... too bad Houston cant play anymore but that would give minutes to Penny my fav player before....... keep it up X, will wait for game recaps......

yep, seems that there is still a few Penny fans around....and as I've mentioned a couple of times, I won't be doing game recaps, only monthly summaries....will do game recaps if and when I make the playoffs....

Sit wrote:You real busy lately X huh? Waiting for that game update! (Y)

what game update?!? you must mean monthly summary, it'll come....but yep, I've been real busy....not as busy as Weaver, but still very busy....thought about ending this dynasty as I wouldn't be able to put the time and effort into it that I'd like, but I'll try and keep it going....

Cool looking Marbury pic. What's up with Frye's forhead? And why is Q wearing number 34?

yep, slowly but surely....looking forward to your one starting up, but the baby, or shall I say babies, should come first....look me up the next time you're in Brissy....

Ruff Ryder wrote:Cool looking Marbury pic. What's up with Frye's forhead? And why is Q wearing number 34?

Frye's forehead does look a little wierd....that's from the patch I downloaded....rest of face looks great, it's just the forehead really that needs some more work....if you guys know of any good cyberfaces for Knicks' players (including the most important one, David Lee) then please let me know....

as for Quentin Richardson, because Mo Taylor's number was 2, but that is what Eddy Curry wears, I gave Curry his #2, Mo Taylor his college #23, and Q his college #34 (at least I think it was #34, maybe it was #3, I like #34 though)....since Q's new to the team it didn't bother me at all changing it up....

cocobee wrote:Those pictures are very good, I like the BW effect (Y)

good to have you pop in cocobee, and glad you like the pics....I also like the Black & White effect, the idea came to me after seeing some of my brother's old wedding photos and noticing how the photographer used photoshop or some program to emphasise the ring (to make it look like Lord of the Ring's one ring) or to emphasise the rose or the people and black and white the rest of the pic....made for good effect....also movies like Sin City used it effectively....

so I thought I'd give it a shot....will keep on using the B&W effect throughout the season but will experiment and see what works....

thanks for all the comments guys, but this one is over :(

this dynasty has been riddled with problems from the moment I started it....most of them revolve around DBF-editing errors which have slowed me down immensely....most recently I had a dynasty crash that I was able to remedy but the final straw was the dynasty crash with the assistant coaching staff....is disappointing as I was starting to slowly get in the groove of the Knicks and guys like David Lee were impressing 8-) but alas, this one is over....I could go back and start from a backup earlier in the month, but it is not in me at the moment to do it....and besides, cklitsie is doing a great job on his Knicks' dynasty and I don't really have any connection with the team....

for viewers who appreciated my Live '05 Bobcats' dynasty, I will be back very soon with a Live '06 dynasty that I hope will be in a similar spirit to it....the team I have chosen is the Portland Trailblazers....they are young, not that great and have some pieces I like and I think I'll enjoy playing with them....just as Jugs mentioned in his new Hornets' dynasty, I will be keeping dbf editing to a minimum in my new Blazers' dynasty as Live '06 seems very problematic regardless of what DBF-editing program is used....I still plan to edit draft classes, but be very, very careful with minor DBF-editing that I do....I will start Blazers' dynasty when Andrew releases a safe patch in the next week....

one last look at what might have been :P

ImageImage
Stephon Marbury (above left) was the team, but it was youngsters like Trevor Ariza (above right) who are its future. But it was the fan favourites like Jamison Brewer (below left) and rookie David Lee (below right) who really showed their colourful characters that captivated a city

Thanks guys....

Man, that looks great! I too, am waiting for Andrew or Ben's roster to hit before I officially start. Sorry to hear about the dynasty though, kinda makes me weary about what might happen to my dynasty. It seems as if the dbf is super sensitive this year. One screw up and your screwed. Oh well, will look forward to the Blazers chise too. Hopefully we'll get some kinda rosters by this weekend. (Y)

ARRRGGGGGG. This is the saddest day of my life. :(

Anyway, on a happier note

the team I have chosen is the Portland Trailblazers....they are young, not that great and have some pieces I like and I think I'll enjoy playing with them....

Go Martell Webster and Darius Miles :headbang:

Hm, bad luck with the .dbf editing... at least it wasn't a "i got bored" reason (Y)

I'm glad you showed me (us) the Jamison Brewer pick, you've made my night happier (Y)

And i'm even more happier that you're going to do a Portland Trailblazers dynasty (Y) (Y) (Y) i know you'll do a great job with them.. their only problem is they only have 1 PF.. unless you want Khryapa to play there (N)

Good Luck (Y) 8-)

yep, but I guess it's better to happen now than when I'm well into a dynasty....will definitely be back with another dynasty, this one will hopefully be safe and have longevity like my Bobcats' one....

glad you like the B&W pics....they are actually very easy to do with layering and magnetic lasso tools for a novice like me  after playing around with them, I found the pics looked better if I left the background with a small amount of colour in that B&W part....as for your dynasty, I wouldn't worry too much about the dbf-editing, as long as you are careful and make regular backups then you should be fine....in hindsight I might have been a little careless, but I guess you learn each time you make a mistake....yep, rosters should be out soon so that'll be good....

I doubt it's the saddest day of your life  and yep, I'm looking forward to using Martell and hopefully developing Darius' perimeter game ( )....

I believe things happen for a reason, whilst this isn't a biggie, this could be one of them

brad feet wrote:awwww man..... i kinda like the knicks....... sad to see this end...... anyway, portland's a great team to rebuild and ck still have his knicks goin..... will be looking forward to your blazers.......

ceekay has luv for the knicks and it'll show....I like the blazers and some of their pieces....I like the Russians and Jarrett Jack also....there is a lot to like on this team....

Good Luck (Y) 8-)

you know I had every intention of keeping it going....but once it didn't, like you, I've looked in another direction that might appeal more to me

as for the Brewer pic, that was mostly for you :P I really enjoyed using him actually....whilst he has no shot whatsoever, his defense and hustle was superb....luv the dreads too :P

I knew you'd like the Portland pick, but when I went through all the NBA teams, that was one of the one or two that really appealed to me, and was a no-brainer....as for their PF problem, I think that Ratliff, Randolph and Pryzbilla will be playing big minutes at C & PF....guys like Ruben Patterson are big, tough SF's who can masquerade as a PF if the situation is right....as for Khryapa, he's a little too fragile to play the 4 unless he's matching up against a Radmanovic or slender/perimeter 4....in which case Darius Miles could also masquerade....but I'd say that I'll sign a backup PF for the season....but we can discuss this in more detail when I post my Portland dynasty

cheers for all the support guys

I played Miles at the PF some times, he's an okay shot blocker and okay defender, he can handle the PF (Y) Make sure Outlaw gets some playing time, even though most people would tend to play Webster instead of Outlaw in the starting line-up, I still think Outlaw would be a great starter...

Telfair and Randolph are certain starters

Well yeah, enough detail here, i'll detail more details when you post that thread

Yeah and Brewer is the pwn 8-)
