Try to make the purple at the bottom look more blue. Then maybe brush around Artest to blend the edges into the background some. From there I think it'd just take some nice looking text, but I can't think of something for that.

Maybe it's the yellow (too saturated on the "black" background) or the background could be too black. Also, it might be the image in the transparent background that's giving it a washed look, but that effect could work.

Standard suggestions: Add a curves adjustment layer and duplicate the Jordan pic, blur it, set it to some blending mode. But it does look really good right now.

I'll keep that in mind (Y) I'm only just learning about adjustment layers and all of that kind of thing.

Serious? Thanks, it took about 1/3 the time the rest of my sigs take  not counting the 30 minutes it took to load the fucking tutorial, which for some bizarre reason people insist on making a .jpg as opposed to writing it all out :x :x

The text is really choppy. Check the aa settings.

Other than that it's pretty good. Background is pretty good, but try this. Make the non-BG layers invisible (Luther, text, etc.) and make a new layer below the pic. Hit ctrl-shift-alt-e. That merges all visible layers into this new layer. Blur it a little and set it it to overlay/soft light or w/e. Then play with the opacity.

It controls the opacity of the edges of the font. Make sure it's on smooth.

Hehe, Colin getting all fancy on us with his abreviations, I like to call it Anti-Allasing or w/e, but aa sounds fine, I guess I just learned something new.

Ah I see. It was on Smooth, I just had added effects that made it look like it was eroding. I'm really struggling to find a decent block-ish font, like the kind of thing Devin121 or whatever it is uses on the graphics in his dynasty so I'm stuck with the 2 I have.

Since I can't fix the text, I'll just experiment with this one... I did the background thing, it looks better your way (Y)

I like good old Impact, and one called He's Dead Jim. I'm not sure if they match what Devin has, but they're a good start.

I'll check 'em out, thanks (Y) Since I haven't had the internet for a few days I've been messing around with brushes and such, so technically what I make should be better from now.

More boredom. I don't like the text, and I couldn't be stuffed cutting out a pic so I downloaded a PSD. I think it's ok though, I still have the PSD saved so any advice I'll probably try.

Maybe try a handwriting font like Scriptina? I like the background, but like you said the text is pretty bad, kinda plain. That dunk was against the Knicks right? :x
