so you're going with journal presentation for the entire dynasty?

Somewhat, it'll be like my classic style but with a twist. I've also got some dynasty exclusives coming. It'll be fun.

Cool! Seems like your writing a lot more this year!

Especially in the beginning because I want to start the story the right way. But once the season starts it'll be back to basics + the player journals.

Goodluck Coco. It's deeply compelling already, can't wait ot see what you have in store.

Thanks bro, you've made it easy to get motivated by your outstanding work.

nice selection by the Hawks as Elijah only has to beat out Tyronn Lue, Royal Ivey, Salim Stoudamire and Tony Delk for the starting PG spot

I see Stoudamire more of a SG coming off the bench. Lue, I've never personally liked and Ivey (nuff said) I might be playing behind Delk. But I definitely need to get rid of the log jam at the SF and SG spots for the Hawks and try to get a quality big man. Which will be the first order of business as a team.

First Hawks team meeting

OK this will be our first team meeting .As you might have already heard or seen on TV, we have just executed a deal that gives us Joe Johnson of the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately Boris was part of that trade and will no longer be a part of our team. I’m confident that our team just got better with this trade. I know most of us will miss Boris, but as we all know, this is a business.” As far as rookies are concerned we have signed all our draft picks except Salim, but look for that to be final within the week. We have the mold of our team and we want to put the best on that court. So if you’re a rookie or a veteran, you bullshit, you get cut. You work hard and show me something, and then you might be a legit NBA player this year.” I can see that we’ve got a lot of talent in this room. Props go out to Salim for making the first team at the Rocky Mountain Revue. We saw a lot of things we liked, didn’t like and things we can definitely get better at through practice. We have a little over a month till training camp officially begins, but it would be wise for you guys to stay and work with the coaching staff on a daily basis, especially the rookies. If you’re hurt, you should be in rehab twice a day. Men, we will have a new attitude this year. We will make the NBA take notice of us. We need to make these fans and this city excited about us again. If you don’t want to get on the same page or do the work on and off the court, you won’t be on this team. Rookies know the plays and love the plays. If you don’t execute on the court, I will kick you off the court. That means study that playbook like it’s the Bible. You’ll get tested on it everyday and the coaching staff WILL KNOW, if you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing out there. Ok, men-you know the rest. This is meeting is over.” Coach Woodson explained to the team that consisted of 18 players at the time.
“Eli!” Coach Woodson yelled from across the court. “How’s the ankle?” “It’s back to 100% coach” explained Elijah. “We missed you at the Revue?” said Coach Woodson. “I know coach, just bad luck-I guess, but I’m ready now and will work hard for you and this team.” “I know you will, we are thinking about moving Salim to play some point and I know that is your position too.” asked Coach Woodson. “The boy had a great Revue and has shown a lot of potential at both point and shooting guard positions. You will need to show me something these next couple months” “Yes sir” answered Elijah a little confused. He didn’t know exactly what Coach Woodson was getting at. “Coach, Johnson is a solid player and I think I’ll play well next to him” explained Elijah. “Eli, worry about making the team, right now I got you third at point behind, Lue, Delk and maybe Stoudamire”. I haven’t seen you play with the team yet, you need to show me something son.” “I will, something you’ve never seen-I promise.” said Elijah. “OK, remember, these next two months might make or break you.” said Coach Woodson.
Elijah went to get his right ankle taped and was getting ready to do some shooting drills. He felt the pressure of just making the team. He wasn’t even worried about starting yet; he just wanted to be on the roster. “What’s your number kid?” asked the equipment manager. Eli looked confused. “Your jersey number, I need to put an order today” he explained. “Number 42 sir” said Elijah. “OH, old Kevin Willi's number, hopefully you’ll have a career like that guy did” the equipment manager said as he laughed. “OK kid, good luck”.
Elijah knew it would be a hard 2 month stretch, but he knew he needed to improve his shooting and then he would be a complete point guard. As he drove home that night he knew what he had to do and that these next two months was going to be the showcase for his talents. As he hoped in his new silver 2005 Mercedes G5, he thought to himself “This will be my town and my team!” Elijah's phone rings, it's Bubbles. "We are a big hit in Asia!Go get the new ESPN magazine-you got an ad on page 74. Fuck Yao Ming, you are going to be the next Asian cover boy BABY!" screamed Bubbles. Elijah talked to Bubbles for a little while then stopped by a near by 7-11 to get the magazine. He goes straight to page 74, "OH MY GOD, I'm National!"

Salim Stoudamire was named on the 2005 Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue All-Tourney First team. Alongside Britton Johnsen(Spurs), Raymond Felton(Bobcats), Kris Humphries(Jazz), Matt Carroll(Bobcats), and tourney MVP: Sean May(Bobcats).

Enjoy.

nice journals....I'm feeling Elijah's pain with his right ankle as I rolled mine in the game last week and it is black and blue....let's hope he can recover fast....a bit more taping and strapping, and he'll be fine (Y) and I like the fact that you are not sliding your guy straight into the starting lineup and making him work to even make the roster at all (Y)

Atlanta GA,
Elijah’s Apartment

“What the hell, are you serious? No, Bubbles are you fucking serious?” a half asleep Elijah yelled at Bubbles. “When, what; when did all this happen?” asked Elijah. Bubbles on the other end replied “last night, I don’t know too many details but I just know he passed away last night.” “But I just saw him Friday, this shit is crazy!” Elijah responded. The team has made an official announcement on television about the death of PF/C Jason Collier. Bubbles added “I called because I wanted you to find out this way and not through the TV. They don’t exactly know hat happened but I’ll fill you in. Knight told me that the Bobcats game will still be on but has canceled any practice today. We’ll leave for Charlotte tomorrow morning”. “Thanks Bubbles, but he was so young” said Elijah. Elijah remembered some advice his uncle once told him “you never know how or when you’ll go, but the key to life is to enjoy your time here.” This motivated Elijah even more and couldn’t wait to show what he had on the court in tomorrow’s Hawks first preseason game. So far, Elijah has impressed a lot of the doubters and has now moved to second in the depth chart for PG on the team behind Lue. NBA TV, who was filming a training camp show and was impressed enough with what they saw, they interviewed Elijah after practice. Coach Woodson has made Salim a SG/PG coming off the bench to make some noise for the second team. His instant offense will help and give us the kick we need to make those runs throughout the game.
Around the locker room the past couple of weeks, rumor spreads of a trade that will get a big man to Atlanta. “Billy Knight is scared to do the trade” said Lue to another player in the locker room. “Shit, that nigga needs to leave..we ain’t got room for all this mess at the 3 and 4 spot.” replied Harrington. “When do you think this shit is going down?” asked Williams. “Soon I hope, we need to get some chemistry before the season..if were trying to make a run this year” replied Lue. Elijah listened to the conversation, but he just hoped that he wasn’t going to be traded. He liked his chances with the Hawks and knew he could eventually start if he kept working hard.
Bubbles calls back “ hey Eli, I’ll meet you in Charlotte for the game tomorrow, sorry I had to call you so early.” “It’s OK Bub, I’m still in shock..but yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow—thanks again.”

I'm continuing to add to my dynasty but I'm so glad I'm in the preseason. Look for some game coverage soon. The first page will be the resource page of my dynasty. I will be updating the first page a lot. I hope you guys like the new layout. Thanks for the kind words, and all the post are very much appreciated. When I start getting things cooking, please use the first page for easier access.

enjoy.
:)
