STAFF HIRING
Break-in Morning News
October 7, 2005 -- Brad Feeters arrived last night in Los Angeles and is welcomed by his two friends Dr. Jerry Buss and Mitch Kupchak together with Coach Phil Jackson.
As expected a lot of reporters we're there to welcome the controversial appointment of the new Lakers General Manager. The four went inside and sat down in a known coffee house that was temporarily closed by a request from Dr. Jerry Buss. While the inside was filled with personal bodyguards, the coffee house we're surrounded by a lot of reporters trying to sneak-in and get a story out of it as they watch the four enjoying their conversations.
After having coffee and finishing the conversations, to a surprise, the four decided to allow one reporter inside and ask a single question to the new GM of the Lakers Organization. The chosen reporter didn't hesitate and fire-up the question:
Reporter: What are the things did you guys talk about a while ago while having coffee? immediately asked the reporter without even thinking.
Brad Feeters: Well, first of all I thank them for making me a part of the Organization. Of course we had fun talking other stuffs but we went straight ahead to business. They told me what they wanted to do with the team, our plans. They told me what are we going to implement on the team in order for us to make the play-offs. They also gave me advises on the staff that I'm going to hire in order for the system to work and that's about it really......
Reporter: Can I just ask one more question please....
Brad Feeters: Okay, this one's on me, hit it.....
Reporter: Can you give us a hint, what is the thing that you're going to implement on the team.......
Brad Feeters: Well, it's basically implementing a new system of defense which probably the league has never seen. We're going to give more emphasis on defense this season in order for us to succeed.
Reporter: Thank you very much Mr. Feeters.....
Brad Feeters: You're welcome.......
Then the four left the coffee house escorted by their personal bodyguards, and of course pandemonium took place as the reporters keep on insisting to grab a word on any of the four......
