Utah Couldn't Hang with the Mavericks in the 4th Quarter as they lose 134-110.
It was the first game for the Utah Jazz, and it wasn't an easy one. The Dallas Mavericks come to town, lead by All Star Dirk Nowitzki, who has lost Steve Nash, and Michael Finley in just two years. The Mavericks playoff hopes are clearly on the shoulders of Dirk Nowitzki.
The Utah Jazz come in with a new look. They traded Boozer, Giricek, and Harpring to the Boston Celtics for Big Time Scorer Paul Pierce. Having Pierce will put Kirilenko at the PF spot, where he will guard Nowitzki. This could be the beginning of a heated rilveraly between Dirk and AK-47.
As the game started, it surprisingly looked like the Utah Jazz were in this until the 4th quarter where Dallas scored 36 points to lead to a 134-110 win. Dirk Nowitzki had an impressive 18 point-18 Rebound game. Terry was the difference maker scoring 36 points 6 boards, and 8 assists. On the other side of the ball Paul Pierce scored 35 points along qwith 12 boards, 6 steals, and 3 assists. Kirilenko also scored 35 points with 18 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. The debut of rookie Deron Williams did not look too good and looked like a true rookie, as he only scored 4 points, with 5 boards, 6 assists, and a horrible 10 turnovers, shooting off of 1 for 11. Although CJ miles their other rookie, looked more like a veteran scoring 21 points and 4 boards off the bench.
