I would make that trade, with KG on Wolves lineup, they cant win nothing, is that correct? With KG on wolves lineup, they will always be around .500, because KG is so good that he can single handed carry this team for at least 40 wins., so they never can get a decent draft pick,. Also considering KG's knee problem, I would trade him! There's report saying KG is working out like crazy, if he's not traded, why and why would he working so hard for a team that cannot even make the playoff next season, dont tell me he wants to win the score title, rebound title and block title. Here's the deal, McHale is going to either trade KG or he's getting fired.

Since Wolves cannot win with kg, or they cant even build around KG(bad contracts like Wally, Hudson), they don not have money to get another star play along side with KG, it's like you are losing big money to lose games, Why not just trade KG now, start rebuild, besides the roster I mentioned is a talented young group, so whatever I have said makes sense.
There is a 50 50 chance of the trade will happen by Sep. 30, if Lakers want to use Vlade's contract(that's last day to buy him out), or they donot use Vlade's contract, the trade will happen by Oct 2nd(Kwame can be traded beginning at that day)
this time I am not just saying it's a possible trade, both Lakers and Wolves have sent the paper work to the league office(at beginning I thought it was for Curry...), so just wait and see, but trade sometimes do get shut down at the last second.

Cassell doesn't fit Casey's system, which is more fast break which fits Garnett's game more. He can get the boards and then outlet to Jaric, Hudson, McCants or Carter to start the fast break and then become a finisher.

the bulls have taken pretty much every precaution to ensure curry is healthy. the team that's been monitoring him the closest is even hesistant on about letting him play (on a 1yr contract no less). you're an even bigger idiot then i thought if you think another team is going to trade for curry at this point.

Yes, I'm aware of it. As air gordon said, his stock isn't very high as a result of it which is one reason why I'm not keen on a trade, the other being I believe he still has potential to live up to - mad as that may seem.

Fair enough, but you're not offering much in the way of concrete evidence. No sources except for the HoopsHype and that doesn't even mention potential deals. If it's just your own speculation, you can be sure it will be questioned.

Minnesota will be a play-off team next spring... Without two injured and one selfish veteran on the roster, the TEAM will once again be more like a TEAM. Now, Minnesota roster looks more like the Spurs roster than before... They have the dominant big guy who can do everything and they have a nice supporting cast to surround and support the big guy...

ntong clearly has forgotten that basketball is still a TEAM game... Why didn't the lakers win the title with three all-stars lined up with Kobe against a team that has no super-stars??? Detroit had a better TEAM! Lakers had great individuals, but a bad team... Some teams play better than the sum of their parts and some play worse than the sum of their parts.

Think of an engine... Every part needs to know their job and do their job for the engine to work. It's the same with the team... Sam and Spree's jobs were to get the ball to KG and they didn't deliver... So you replace them with players that are willing to do the job.

You can always argue that Cassell is so much better than Jaric and you are true, but if Cassell can't/won't give the ball to KG and Jaric will, Jaric will always be a better fit for Minnesota... The thing about Kevin Garnett and Flip Saunders' Minnesota Timberwolves teams are that they always overachieved. The team had little talent but they made it up with hard work and team work. Last year, they didn't have that and fingers started to get pointed.

This team looks more like the teams of the past and I'm expecting playoffs this year. Especially if Garnett comes back better than ever.

As an avid Kobe/Lakers fan I hope this happens, but like others have said it is highly unlikely. While most of you have made valid points as to why and how it will happen I highly doubt if it does. I can see why the Lakers would want to do this though. They were trying to stay under the cap for players like Yao (signed extension), Amare (about to sign extension) and players of that stature they see that they have no hope of using the money to sign someone so it makes since to try and trade. Their pieces just aren't that attractive to other teams though. I think they have a solid roster right now with players that just need to prove themselves. Given Phil's track record I hope he and Kobe come together to build some chemistry. Just my 2 cents
