A new version (v1.18) of the current roster update for NBA Live 2005 has been released and is waiting to be downloaded here.

Key features of v1.18:
- 2005 Offseason Rosters (September 24th, 2005)
- Player ratings updated

Please note that this will be my final update for NBA Live 2005. If anyone's interested in taking over the update, please email me. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to maintain two updates these days and I'll be starting work on the NBA Live 06 update very soon. A huge thanks to everyone who has provided feedback over the past year, for those of you who will be getting NBA Live 06 I hope you keep helping me out with corrections and suggestions.

Just to reiterate, this will be my final update as I just won't have the time to keep doing two updates. Anyone who's interested in continuing the roster update in my stead, please let me know and we'll discuss specifics. I will still be able to publish the patch so you'd be able to send it back to me to compile the installation, but I won't have the time to do all the transactions and create players.

This is my final decision, there's just no way I'll be able to do the two updates anymore. Thanks again to everyone who helped out this year.

Success! Once again turned out to be the birthstate.dbf and birthteam.dbf files. Once again restored the originals and everything is working fine. Sorry about that, just uploaded a fixed version if you want to download it again. Thanks for the heads up GAME_ZONE.

I always prefer to leave some free agents on their previous team until they're officially renounced/sign elsewhere.

This patch doesn't work good enought. I don't no why but there is a mistake... Again with three point shoot - out and slam dunk contest:
1) after instalation there is writed how to load NLSC Roster Patch(first NLCS... , Second Open and Final) but when I loaded in this row there isn't any new players anywhere in FA and teams to... So I tried to load in this row (OPEN , FINAL , NLSC) and it's ok there is new players but then 3 point shoot out with rookie doesn't work??? I cant understand whats going on ish there a problem with my gfame or what but I rewrited my game sometimes... Andrew plz try to play tree poin shoot - out and repor SORRY FOR ENGLISH

Another great roster patch!!! It has worked just fine to me, but there are two "Ronnie Price". One with PlayerID = 1700 (Sacramento roster) and other with PlayerId = 1717 (free agent).

It's for NBA Live 2005. If you try to install it for any other game except NBA Live 2005, it'll cause a crash.

For the new patch maker that will take over Andrew's NBA Live 05 roster:

Kobe's developed an incredible jumper this off season and it's showing in his games. Now, i know his FG % went down and that's because it was after he injured his shooting hand. He injured it in the Atlanta Game then from there on his shooting seems as if it's been off. I was watching the Lakers vs Knicks game today and i saw Kobe's index finger wrapped in bandages. Also, his wrist is most likely sore from his arkward landing in Atlanta because of Joe Johnson.
My point of this is, Kobe has the ability and probably the only player in the league that can shoot over his opponents. He has an unstoppable turnaround jumper or he can create a way for himself to elevate from his opponent and shoot over them. He's been hitting 50%+ with his jumpshots, consistently too. I think he deserves a FG higher than 85 possibly 90. He's been working hard during the off-season from what i hear from the media. I'm a big Lakers fan and especially Kobe. In my opinion Kobe has the most deadliest mid-range shot in the league. His shooting form is awesome too. He's been working hard and is improving even more so i feel that his current fg does not reflect his real life counterpart. If you guys have seen his performance lately you would be thinking the same. Hopefully once his injury clears up he'll start shooting 50% from the field again.

On another note, Smush Parker needs an upgrade in his defense, steals, fg, and 3. It's still early but judging from his pre-season and regular season he's the real deal and not a fluke.

Ok thanx. I'm playing NBA Live 2004 right now but i can buy 2005 for a few euro's. Now i don't have to create all the rookies by myself cause that was what i did for 2004.

Andrew, can u enlighten on how to create a legend player?
i tried creating 1 like scottie pippen...i added him into the player.dbf and appearance.dbf...for the id matches...318.....but somehow, when i play the game, the scottie pippen is a default white guy...the appearance is messed up...the height is 0' 0...weight is 0lbs....when i try to edit the player from the game, the game crashes...obviously now, i think....the databases is missing their links..but i can't seems to find out where...can u tell me?

or could u tell me the steps u take to create 1? i really appreciate it...
