Reviving the Raptors

Image

The Raptors have missed the playoffs for the third straight season. They have compiled a record of 33-49 for two straight seasons. A disgrunted Vince Carter had been traded to the New Jersey Nets on Dec. 17th, 2004 for basically nothing. All of this has been in the past. The Raptors have brought their franchaise to ground zero. It's time build it back up make some noise in the NBA again. There are many bright spots on this team. The new face of the franchaise is Chris Bosh. There are proven veterans in Jalen Rose, Mo Peterson, Eric Williams. There's Skip, who is as good as anyone in taking people off the dribble. Last but not least, the new rookies, Charlie Villanueva and Joey Graham, who are ready to prove they are worthy of NBA status. Its Time to REVIVE THE RAPTORS

*I am not the best Photoshop person. Any suggestion/help is greatly appreciated.

i second that, or continue to play araujo to play centre, either to limited minutes or if he proves himself, continue to play him at centre, if he doesnt then put bosh at centre instead of villanueva.

Bosh played centre in his rookie year, and although he did play well at times, the bigger players could easily out-muscle him and bully him in the paint. Realistically, it would make sense to keep him at power foward, and I think most Raptor fans who actually know something about basketball would agree. I think one of major reasons why Bosh has finally started to show some signs of being a good player is because he's been playing power foward. Bosh is just too physically weak to play power foward.

Even though Villaneuva also isn't strong enough to play center, he hasn't even played a single game in the NBA so it's hard to determine how well he will actually do.

I for one, would start Araujo or Woods. They're bigger are the best things we have that is even close to a center.

Nice, I to have thoughts of reviving the Raps. Should put CB4 at Center, though. CV will get banged up early, although I think he can handle it by mid season.

thx all who posted here.

Regarding the Chris Bosh @ center position: I really don't want to do that. Now with the freestyle superstars (Amare nd Shaq in partcular) he will get pushed around and dunked on alot more. I'm actually not that sure on the Charlie Villanuva @ center either. Thatz what everyone's putting right now, so i'm just kinda following them. The center position is still up for grabs. I'll see how it goes when i get the game and i'll decide as my dynasty comes along

Z man..thx for that font site..i'll check it out

That's a decent article, but I think it could have been better. There also isn't much to look at either, but I can't really criticize you on that mainly because I'm not very talented in the graphics department.

Overall, I'd say that was a pretty decent article though, and you did say that you weren't the best with photoshop (like me), so I can relate. This dynasty is also really hyping me up; I can't wait to get my hands on live '06 and start my own Raptors dynasty.

thx for the constructive critisism (can't spell). I'll try to develop better photoshop skills and articles as the season comes along. I'll probably do a few more preseason articles/interviews (whatever comes to mind) to get better at it.

also, looking forward to your dynasty in 06. read ur dynasty in 05..it was good. onlie thing i didn't like was that you traded away bosh if i remember correctly lol
