Teamwork Helps Rockets Again

HOUSTON (AP) --- 8 players scored at least 10 points for Houston as the Rockets defeated the Denver Nuggets in OT, 131-123.

Yao Ming scored 21 points and had 9 rebounds; Reggie Evans posted 18-11; Tracy McGrady got another small injury and only scored 10 points; Luther Head added 19; Bob Sura had 15-8-8; Ricky Davis shot a poor 6-of-20 for a total of 12 points; Delonte West had 13 points and Danny Fortson notched 10-5.

"We didn't have good aim today," McGrady said. "I also had a small injury but it didn't get worse." McGrady had a lower back strain in the game against New Orleans.

Houston was winning by 17 points after 3 quarters but Denver stepped up and had a 44-27 fourth quarter.

Carmelo Anthony played 48 minutes, scoring 26 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Kenyon Martin, playing 50 minutes, posted 23 points and 16 rebounds.


McGrady tried to score over Camby in this play.

Voshon Lenard and Marcus Camby had 21 and 20 points, respectively. Andre Miller had 19 points and 10 assists.

Rookie Julius Hodge only had 6 points.

HOUSTON (AP) --- Today the Houston Rockets defeated the Utah Jazz, 107-88. Yao Ming scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds.

Tracy McGrady added 22-4-3.

"We did really good today," Jeff Van Gundy said. "Our defense was great."

Jazz's Andrei Kirilenko got defused, posting only 4 points; but Carlos Boozer had 22 points and 9 rebounds.
