Pass the bal shoot, and make it in. It may sound hard, but with practise it wil become second nature.

Oh my god how hard is this......I've heard some dumb things from you but this takes the cake.

pass the ball, but the player who catches the ball must make the shot asap.. if he dribbles and then shoots and make it, it won't be counted as asts.

Do a pick and roll with a bigman who's a good shooter or a good inside scorer, then pass it to him, either take the jumpshot over the smaller defender or wait until he runs into the post and pass it to him for an easy layup/dunk.

Switch to offball with a player who can shoot, go down and around the baseline (corner to corner) and normally if both of your bigs are down there the guy your moving will be wide open so just pass to him and shoot. Works really good with like Rip, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller.

Depends on who you've got on your team, but the methods described above are all effective. If you mostly get your points in the paint, pound the ball inside and don't be too slow in scoring the basket. Drive-and-dish and passing out of double teams in the low post are effective ways of picking up assists if you have good outside shooters.

And of course, make good passes and take wise shots. Passes out of bounds and bad shots aren't going to help your playmakers rack up assists. ;)

you can actually run a fair distanct (relatively) and still get the assist

try getting the ball to a good dribbler on the 3-point line, freestyle round their opponent for an easy shot

Throw the ball to the guy in the paint or do the alley oop with the guy in the paint especially when hes calling for the ball!!

I found a good way. Make sure your big men get down low in the paint and pass it to them for the layup.

alley-oops on 05 don't work that good, best to pass it to your good player dribble until you get double teamed then pass it to the open man and sink the shot
