My Dynasty Simulation problem

Okay well, I have NLSC05-06 roster from version 1.17 loaded up. I also created one player and put a Cyberface on him. What happens is i've made a dynasty and the Training camp works but then it goes to the 28th of October and i try to simulate that day and it freezes and this error comes up

Then i click OK and the game closes

Do any of you guys have this problem or know how to fix it. because i would really like to fix this problem so i can post in my new dynasty..

What did you use to edit players.dbf? If you used MS Excel or Access, you may have incorrectly saved (and thus corrupted) the players.dbf file.

Yes I used MS Excel.... Does that means it's corrupt and i'll have to use a different editor, my DB Commander trial ran out

Sorry for the double post but I've fixed the problem, i realised that you can use DB commander after the trial expires, and now my dynasty is up and running
