Does that mean you have to get a sig change because The X isn't on your team anymore

Heh, i can't wait for the recaps...... If you're doing monthly recaps, does that mean we have to wait like 1-3 weeks for you to post it, which will stop us from spamming in this thread? :|

good luck with you on the pistons. fits your playing style.

that's what I thought too jxuusa 8-)

as for you, what number do you want to wear? number 5 is already held by a certain star PG named Jason Kidd....at the moment I got you down as your rookie number 42....you wanna keep that or change it?!?

argghh....the sig....maybe I'll just get conrad to do me another one, except with The X in a Pistons' uni....I dunno....guess I gotta do something about it :(

as for the recaps, dunno know how long it will take....will try to get one done every week or two....now that it's just playing the games and not dbf editing etc I should be a little quicker....will probably post pics now and then with random comments or NLSC updates inbetween monthly summaries to keep you spammers happy

Damn, nice coverage and nice moves too.
Good luck for virtual X in Detroit, even though I think he will regret leaving the Bobcats in the end. You've got a really young but experienced team right now.

Thanks for the trade too, I love it! I will probably get more PT in LA and it's a much better team than Utah too, I definately don't feel bad about pulling a Francis. This has to be the most talented Clipper squad of all time.

Elite players like Maggette and Brand and a nice veteran supporting cast too with Kaman, Korver, Wallace and House (remember the 60-something points in the NCAAs). On top of that some of the most talented young guns in Bogut, Livingston and probably Gigli and Lason too, since the Clippers always have high picks. To finish it off, 4 (!) pretty good rookies too.
Crazy!!! :headbang:

Oh and I can make you the sig, it's like giving something back. Just PM me with details and pics and I'll hook you up.

you're right, they don't....they only have a lot of undersized PG's

I might have to take you up on that sig offer....might not include any of my own players in it, just NLSC-ers....

as for the Clippers, I guess all those high draft picks are finally paying off....maybe they can finally reach the playoffs  the team is pretty deep....could probably use an extra big man but still looking solid nonetheless....

took a bit of time to work those trades as I needed to fill positional needs for both teams as well as matching salaries to keep it realistic :P

as for the virtual me, he could end up in 'Cats colours if it doesn't work out in Mo Town....

also an idea with getting through the season quicker....instead of play, 4th qtr intervention and sim, for regular season I'll probably go play, 4th qtr intervention, sim, 2nd qtr intervention, 4th qtr intervention, sim, 3rd qtr intervention, 4th qtr intervention, sim and then repeat cycle....for playoffs will go back to my original method....

we can win a title together perhaps

although you are looking pretty good in Phoenix as the starting C....at the mo I think you are averaging about 7 and 9, with potential to move towards a double-double....in Detroit, I couldn't see that happening....but it's up to you

well here in Oz we get Live here on PC in early November so I'd say the dynasty will be played until then....after that I'll probably sim forward season by season to see how the NLSC-ers fare

NLSC PLAYER UPDATE (OCT '07)

With the 2007/08 season just beginning, we take a look at how some of the NLSC players fared in new colours and in the big league.

ROOKIES

Click on the links to check out how each NLSC rookie player fared in their NBA debut. Some fared better than others, but don't think that this one game will necessarily be a precursor for the season ahead. Give time for your guy to find his feet, it is the NBA after all.

Flo "pHLo" Ruf
Desmond "SbHzMaFiA" Jackson
Sam "CB4" Anurak

SAME FACES, NEW PLACES

Click on the links to check out how each NLSC player fared in their debuts for their new teams. Most fared pretty well and have to be happy with the change of scenery and the grass really does appear greener on the other side.

Nice update, good to see a little info on the NLSC'ers. I guess it's just like with the high-schoolers, they need some time to adjust.

ps. Just PM'ed you the sig I've made, just see if you use it.

yep, I got the sig....you can see it below....cheers for doing it....

as for your guy, I might move him up one roster slot in front of Eddie House, see if you get a little bit more burn....

yeah, I wondered where you had got to....and yep, you sucked in the 1st game....fortunately you can learn off Steve Nash....I think within 2 seasons or so this will be your team....

I guess the old adage applies to you....you can take the gangstah (haha) out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the gangstah

Nice Sig X! Looks really good (Y)

btw, all of the nlsc players that are starters are really lucky. As far as the other guys, it sucks to be playing behind an all-star....not too many minutes :|

all credit for the sig goes to ceekay....I actually find it's growing on me the more I see it....

as for the NLSC-ers who are starting, most of them had to do it tough in their rookie seasons with minimal playing time....

as for the NLSC starters....
- Seraph got drafted into the starting PG job with Lakers
- Sit won a trade exemption and the Warriors needed him, so it worked out well
- Dweaver benefited from me signing Joe Johnson as it allowed him to cracked the starting lineup
- jxuusa....well, I had to do something about his situation as he would have got no minutes again as the Sonics got even deeper in the backcourt when they drafted CB4

SOMETIMES NEW IS BETTER

The Charlotte Bobcats opened tthe 2007/08 season with a run-away win in New Orleans against the Hornets. Check out the boxscores below if you wish to check out how each team fared in this encounter when both teams wore their throwback Charlotte unis from their inaugural seasons.

Charlotte Bobcats
New Orleans Hornets

THE NEW 'CATS ON THE BLOCK

JOE JOHNSON

Joe Johnson had a very ordinary night shooting the ball in this game, but showed his versatility and length as he distributed the ball well (game high 7asts) and caused a lot of trouble for Baron Davis (5 TO's) and J.R. Smith (5/17 from the field).

Image
JJ glides in for his first basket as a Bobcat

Once Johnson gets his shot back and fits into his new team's system then he should do well.

MICHAEL PIETRUS

After a poor start to the game by Bobby Simmons and the Bobcats as they were down 11-2 early, French swingman Michael Pietrus was brought in to steady the ship. Pietrus move than steadied the ship as he exploded for 9 straight points on a layup, dunk, turnaround baseline jumper and a trey that got the Bobcats back in the game. Whilst he didn't score again in the game, he did use his defensive prowess to bother the Hornets' high scoring swingmen (Mashburn, Smith and Wright).

Image
This a pictorial of the impact that Pietrus had over the game in a space of a few minutes in the 1st quarter to get his team back in the game

It appears that this signing was a big coup as Pietrus looks like he's going to be a big-time contributor for this season and beyond.

JOEY GRAHAM

First impression of this kid was all good. He's strong as an ox, he's deadly from midrange, can easily manhandle smaller forwards, has an improving perimeter game and looks to be another strongman in the Bobcats' frontline. Graham started his game off by backing down the smaller and much weaker rookie Denham Brown and scoring over him. Next possession down, Graham took a charge off of Brown and Brown left the court injured. As the game went on I started to notice little aspects of his game that really helped the team out. He even drilled a 3-ball which was a big surprise as I knew that was one of his weaknesses in his game, and his handle was a little better than expected.

Image
When he's not doing 500 push-ups a day, Graham is a physically dominating force at the SF position

Could Joey Graham be the Bobcats' SF of the future?!? Early indications are pointing to yes.

LAMOND MALIQ

Maliq only played about 3 minutes of garbage time, but did surprise me. I didn't expect much from him when he was packaged in the Joey Graham deal with Atlanta, but I can now see why the Hawks invested in him. This African kid is a pretty good athlete for his size and is solid in the paint at both ends of the court. Lamond Maliq didn't back down from any of his opponent and that impressed Charlotte's coaching staff.

Image
Maliq says to Ilgauskas it's time to catch a few ZZZ's if you're gonna throw up soft shit like that

Maliq probably won't see much time this or even next season, but if he continues to develop then he could turn into a solid NBA bigman.

Nice Win X-amus, good to see Pietrus gettin your team back into the game, unfortunate that he stopped scoring after that.

Your team looks very promising, let them go for the ring this year (Y)

I didn't actually look for Pietro after the 1st quarter as guys like Bobby Simmons and "That Guy" Dumars stepped up big time....Dumars was reminding me a bit of The Dream and he seems to have added a 16-18 foot jumper which is good....he even hit a 20 footer  that's my guy :P

as for my team, it seems like any one game that any one player can step up and take over....kinda like the old Dallas and Sac teams of the late 90s, but with a little more D and toughness....

NBA Finals, here I come....hopefully....and I luv it how you say "let them go for the ring...."

it's almost like you're saying I haven't tried in the past
