Raptors Leave No Room for Luck Against Celtics
Rose’s first quarter spree sets tone

[Toronto Box Score] [Boston Box Score]

Toronto, ON – The Toronto Raptors came home looking to better their 3-7 record and that’s just what they did downing the Boston Celtics 91-78. Led by player of the game Chris Bosh’s 26 points and his first double-double in a few games, the Raptors tore an early and insurmountable lead and just took it from there.

The Raptors’ dominated the first quarter 30-16 led by Rose’s nine points and Miller and Bosh’s dominance on the glass, the Raptors contained a very powerful line-up featuring Gary Payton, Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce. The Raptors managed to contain them again in the second quarter behind Chris Bosh, who ended the half with 16 point and eight rebounds. His player of the half counterpart Walker tallied five points, five boards, a block and a steal. Marcus Banks led the way in scoring for the Celts with eight. Morris Peterson and Corliss Williamson did an excellent job containing the Truth and shutting down what could have been serious point production.

The final half was in the same vein as the second quarter, each quarter closing out close but the Raptors maintaining the lead established in the first. Bosh and Miller ended the third each with double-doubles and Rafer Alston picked up his production on offense racking up three assists; however, his production was equaled by back-up point guard Eddie House, acquired from Sacramento, in just about equal time. In spite of Payton and Pierce’s renewed offensive efforts, Boston continued coming up short as Bosh led the defensive charge with three blocks and House pitched in three steals in the second half. When the dust cleared, the Raptors emerged victoriously 91-78, led by their starting five but also aided by significant output by the bench.

Coaches and managers please do an announcement of sorts. I feel like sometimes I'm the only one posting more than a sentence or two here.

I can try and make my great analysis in the future also. :D

It's hard to say about the draft, because the more you go into the season the more you will know who to scout. I scouted players at the beginning of the season and with 3/4 of the season gone, I realized I was not going to draft them.

I really hate to have to do this, but I've grown tired of having to write-up after the game, and have started a new dynasty. I'm sorry and thankful for everyone who posted here and everyone who invested time to be involved with the dynasty. I've started a new Milwaukee dynasty and I'm getting wrecked and have almost broke my laptop as "sharpshooter" Michael Redd is shooting less that 40% from both 3-point range and in general. Also, I traded by Bobby Simmons and he is slow as heck and misses, also, way too frequently. So I'm increasingly frustrated, but that's OK.

I also want to say kudos for anyone who runs a dynasty for over a month because I just don't have the patience for it.

We ended 6-7, I won the next two games and we would have made the playoffs and possibly done well. I mean, two solid post players and a guaranteed trio of guys who can shoot the 3, it is tough to beat us. Plus on defense, House and Alston stole the ball on average 5 times between them. So thanks to everyone once again and good luck to everyone, notably Sac-1, Matin32, Sensation, air, Argentinian Power, Emiliano and everyone else who came here but I really can't run through and check every post. Go check out their dynasties. Much better stuff there.
