Question about NO and Utah

Okay, I heard that Utah will be moving to New Orleans next season. So does this mean players like Malone, Kirilenko, etc. will still be with the Jazz or will they draft new players? Same thing goes for New Orleans since they're moving to Charlotte again. Where will Mashburn and the rest go?

No you're lost. This isn't hapening. Utah is staying in Utah, New Orleans is staying in New Orleans but Charlotte will be getting an expansion team. The rumour you're probably thinking of is that the New Orleans owner was apparently interested in buying the Jazz's name from them.

So there will be 30 teams next season? What is the Charlotte franchise name going to be btw..

The new Charlotte franchise won't enter the league until the 2004/2005 season. At that point, there will be 30 teams. The name of the new franchise has not been decided yet (or at least if it has, it hasn't been made public).
