who you guy think is the top 5 players in the world?

Ronaldo: The guy has been one of the best since he stepped in Europe, from the past to present.

Ronaldihno:
He brings flare, amazment, courage for his team. My point of view the best thing to come out of Brazil since Pele.

Henry: Absolutely un-touchable. He plays like Ronaldo in his prime in Barcelona.

Zidane: Still in the Top Ten best players ever, he's been playing since he was 14 and can still score goals and assist like he could before.

Ibrahimovic: The guy is a psycho. He can score in an instant with any team like he did with Juve and Ajax. Great Player.

top 3 over-rated players/players u hate?

Drogba:
He was bought for $25 or more million, and looks like he was worth $25..... Maybe he can impress me next season.

Beckham: As much as I don't want to say it.... he's not the same David Beckham he was before.

Raul: I am afraid to say that Raul is overrated.... but I'm not afraid to admit it, he can't finish goals like he could before, hopefully The Beast can take over

your favourite 5 players?
Luis Garcia
Raul
David Beckham
Rafeal Van Der Vaart
Jerome Rothen

3 teams you hate?

FC Barcelona: Being the Madrid fan I am... you know the reason...

Juventus: I just can't stand them, i'm sorry... they have great players but the style they play is boring like Germany.

Valencia FC: They're horrible.... they we're so lucky to be the 2004 Spanish Champions.

Favourite Team?

Real Madrid.... and Atlectico de Madrid.. i'm like a 50/50 Madrid Follower.

In football there is no top 5 players in general. It has to be defined the position precisely to talk about a top 5 in every position, f.e. top 5 scoring forwards:

Shevchenko
Ronaldo
Henry
Eto'o
Ibrahimovic

Top 5 players in general would be down to personal opinion, like everything else.

Football is much more positional than basket for example. In basket You can talk about a top player cause there are players highlighting in almost every aspect of the game. But in football it doesn't happen the same cause usually forwards are bad defenders and defenders are bad forwards or bad keepers or else.

You can still rank players in proportion easily. For example is John Terry a better defender than Crespo is a striker.

Discussion is about top listings of players not about comparisons about them.

 you make the top listings of players by comparing them. Hence you would rank Terry higher than Crespo because on comparison he is a better defender than Crespo is a striker

You just can't compare Crespo and Terry because You can't compare the level of difficulty and skills required to play as forward or defender. It's easier to defend (or destroy) than to attack (or create). Thats why forwards are better paid an sold than defenders.

You're not getting the point... it's not about comparing their skills or anything, it's about comparing who does their job better. That was just an example, it's ridiculous to say you can't make a list of top 5 players because FIFA does it every year.

The whole idea of "Top 5 Players" is for people to list who THEY think are the top 5 players in the World, and opinions are never wrong.

you cant say that it is easy to defend. in defence you need excellent judgement, timing, anticipation, teamwork, strength and lots of other skills that i cant think of right now

What FIFA does doesn't matter to me and to anyone who knows something of football. FIFA is a burocratic institution of jerks who never played football. And what I'm trying to say is that's easier to play as a defender than to do it as a forward or centre half or centre attacker. There are fewer good people playing in those positions than in defending positions. That's a fact and that's why they are better paid.

I think You don't get the point. I usually played as Right Wing Back and I know what is to be needed to play as defender. You forgot 2 fundamental skills: Positioning & Reflexes.

It's the same thing with b-ball, defense is underrated, so many people grow up to be forwards. Who can name the 5 best defenders of all time? Yea..also, defense is more of a team thing than individual. I mean, you usually think, oh Italy has a good defensive team, instead of naming each individual. Plus, there is a limit to how much you can defend alone. That's why you usually can't rank the defenders.

I don't think so. Just watch a game with mediocre all position players and you'll see they can't score. That's why defending it's easier than attacking. When you attack you have only one thing in your side: Iniatiative. You are the only one who knows what you'll do. But in defense You can easily counter initiative with pressing, anticipation and outnumbering. If attacking is easier than defending then tell why most games end with 2 or 3 goals and not with handball scores. (I know the pathetic referees are one of the reasons the scores aren't higher)

There's also alot less World Class defenders than there are World Class forwards.
