Dang, the Rockets have become a huge scoring threat :lol: Is there anyway you can lower the scoring a little bit and nice wins btw (Y)

Rockets still in the sky, 4th straight win

HOUSTON (AP) --- Yao Ming scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Houston as the Rockets defeated the New Orleans Hornets: 128-115.

Yao scored 17 of his 27 points in the second half.

David Wesley added 25 points and Tracy McGrady posted 22.

"Bobby (Sura, 14 points) played really good", Yao said. Sura also added 10 assists.

"We have a great record, I'm very happy. This gives more confiability to the players," Jeff Van Gundy said.

Danny Fortson had a great game off-the-bench with 16 points. Mike James added 10 points, and Dikembe Mutombo, 10 rebounds.

Rookie Chris Paul led the game in scoring with 36 points and also had 11 assists. PJ Brown and Jamaal Magloire had 22 and 18 points, respectively.

"Well we don't have the best record," Byron Scott said. "I'm really worried about this."

Lakers can't stop Rockets

HOUSTON (AP) --- Tracy McGrady posted 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Rockets, as Houston defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 117-107.

Off the bench, Mike James had his season-high of 21 points, 5-7 from the 3-point line.

David Wesley added 17 points and Yao Ming, 15.

"You have to be really focused in the game to win," McGrady said. "And it's not easy."

"They played as a team, as always," Jeff Van Gundy said.

Reggie Evans had another double-double with 14-11; Luther Head added 6 points.

"Luther is still injured", Van Gundy added. "He will play limited minutes until a complete recovery."

Rockets Seek & Destroy

HOUSTON (AP) --- Yao Ming scored a season-high 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Houston Rockets' 141-93 win over the Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors never were up in the score, as a Ming's quick basket at 11:49 put the Rockets over Raps.

Tracy McGrady added 33 points and Reggie Evans, 16.

After scoring 21 points against the Los Angeles Lakers, Mike James had 15 points.

"I think this is my home," James said, with a big smile in his face.

Jalen Rose and Rafer Alston had 15 points each.

Grizzlies Get Their Revenge

HOUSTON (AP) --- After a 30-point recovery by Houston in their last game, the Rockets and Grizzlies got last night a really good game, with 15 lead changes.

Mike Miller scored 18 points for Memphis, as the Grizzlies won 92-91. Pau Gasol added 16 and 9 rebounds.

"It was a really tough game, but we were able to get some baskets at the final minute and we got the win", Gasol said.

Shane Battier posted 15 points and 6 rebounds. Rookie Hakim Warrick only played 3 minutes, without stats.

But this wasn't a night for the Rockets bench, as it only got 5 points: 2 by Luther Head and Mike James, and 1 by Dikembe Mutombo.

Reggie Evans only scored 6 points, but grabbed 11 rebounds.

Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming combined for 55 points (23 and 32, respectively).
