Stop taking out features

Postby Full Surface on Fri Mar 21, 2003 7:33 am

Cripes, every year at least one feature is removed in the next NBA Live release. Can you please stop taking them off? I'm sure if you kept all the modes and extras, NBA Live right now would be one of the top NBA games. Some of the options you took away are the 3 Point Shootout, Custom Teams, and the ability to Save Replays. Come on.. you should be trying to improve the game, not taking out stuff just because you feel like it. Here's a slogan somebody thought of, maybe they should try to replace the current one with it :|

EA Sports - It was in last year's version but for some reason we took it off

Your post = counter productive and unneeded.

I think he has a very relevant point. EA sports seem to have adopted an addition by subtraction approach which dosen't make much sense. :?

Well...real thing is that NBA Live 2004 may not be everything we hoped, it takes time to develop. Maybe we get Everything we want in NBA Live 2006!!! wich is on 4CD's (or maybe then on DVD). PS numbers are not real, i just put 4CD's because there are so much features that there should be. And anyway, if Real NBA continues rising after minor kickback then Live series will continue developing as good as possible to get all profit from all fans.

I agree. For example, why the Hell did they take out the hand check button?

Hand check was replaced by take charge, which was also a popular request. I'm sure room can be made for both, though I don't know whether there will be.

Take charge is useful, sure, but handcheck is equally as useful, moreso since there "Foul Intentionally" defensive option sucks balls.

I agree, I'd rather have both.

There is one simple explanation to all this... The creator team was fired during the development of Live 2001 and all the Live-games to that point were improving all the time. It's been downhill since then. But I hope that the new would be comfortable enough by now with the product to start actually imroving on it. I hope... I still think that the Live 2000 has been the best release yet. Live 2003 has a crappy interface and a way too fast gameplay... And Live 2001 had the Shaq, overall 65, scoring 35 points per game thing...

Yes the team was disbanded... Or atleast moved to other projects...

Been following the progress of NBA Lives since NBA Live 95... So the earlier team had the experience six Live games and the Live 2004 is really the second all "new team" Live for Pc.
