Hmmm...then how about Memphis? They got talent, but need to put it all together.
Or Washington - and make the Brown/Profit - Butler/Atkins trade. Or why not the Suns/Spurs - see if you can have their success? Or the depleted Suns feat. Boris Diaw. Hah!

Just one more JJ post? Please? Haha...no no - I like the Hawks TV thing. Makes for an interesting read. I just do interviews with 'the Interviewer" - he asks the tough questions, but very meekly.

Jimmy Jackson calls in Hawk's TV!

.LA.: Jimmy, I would like to thank you for calling in, I know you couldn't be here today, because the whole team is in Sacramento prepairing for the game against the Kings, tommorow. Jimmy, first off, how does it feel to be a Hawk?

.JJ.: Well, its been great so far. I mean we have had two games since I have been here and gone 1-1 in those games. We have a great young squad, and I like my role here. I like being a veteran leader to this team. Its been greating working with guys like Josh Childress, J-Smoove, Donta Smith, all the young guys at my position. Its been exciting, and this has been a lot better than the time I spent with the Hawk's several years ago. I mean, I wanted to win a championship, and I thought I would achieve that this year with the Suns, but uh, who knows. Maybe we can pull it out. One thing is for sure, I'm not bitter, and I am happy in Atlanta.

.LA.: That is great news. Well in your two games here, you have averaged 13 points, and they are off the bench. Do you wish you were a starter?

.JJ.: Umm.. nah' not really. I mean of course I would like to start, but I think me providing a spark off the bench helps this team more. We aren't really a shooting squad, so I think my range helps the team in deep situations. If I was starting, I might not be able to provide that. Besides, J-Chill earned his starting spot. He has been playing great in his rookie season, and I want to see him excell. I just don't think some people realise how important these young guys are to this team. Without Josh Smith, Josh Childress, Sebastian Telfair, all these guys, we would be doing alot worse this year. These guys step it up in the fourth quarter, and I would like to think that I do aswell.

.LA.: What do you think the goal of this team is this season?

.JJ.: Well, we are 6-4 right now, but I think we can all pull together and make it to the playoffs. All our rookies are only going to get better as the season progresses, and Al Harrington will continue to contribute along with Samuel Dalembert, and I think this team has a huge chance of making the playoffs. And if that happens, who knows what we can do in the playoffs? I mean, we have a shot at it all this year, just as much as anybody.

.LA.: Well Jimmy, it was great of you to call in, the Atlanta Hawk's are lucky to have such a skilled and class act such as yourself. Hawk fans, don't miss Atlanta at Sacramento, tommorow night.

Hawk's Claim The Throne In Sacramento!

Atlanta: 99 ; Sacramento: 96

In a nailbiter type game, that went down to the wire, Atlanta was able to pull out the finish on the road, and overcome a hot shooting King's team. The Hawk's were down 94 to 96 with 35 seconds left, but Jimmy Jackson hit a huge 3 Pointer to give the Hawk's the 97-96 lead. After a missed shot by Peja, the Hawk's got the rebound and the King's were forced to Intentional foul, putting this game out of reach. "Well, its like Jimmy Jackson said on Hawk's TV, we needed him in to give our team a spark, and he provided it," says Head Coach Mike Woodson. Although this was a good night all in all, Al Harrington was seeming to be very upset about not playing in the closing minutes of the game. Coach Woodson did not comment. The winning streak is now at 2 games, the Hawk's look to finish out December with a win, facing the Jazz next game.

Funny. You destroyed the Mavs just like I did. I thought they had no defence and it seems that's the case.

Good work with this whole Jim Jackson thing, trading him in and the interview. It's good to have a long-range shooter in your team. And a sweet win against Sacramento!

Ok guys, I really need help..

Over the past couple days, I have gotten in a few games, ahead of my recaps. Today I went to check the stats to post another recap, and somehow the last couple games I played are gone. First I thought that I forgot to save, but then I remembered loading it earlier and everything being fine. I already wrote the stats down and everything. I dont want to have to replay the games and then rewrite the stats, so I dont know what to do. Has this ever happened to anybody?

great hawksTV. What fatigu/minutes are you playing on/with? Using only 3 players off your bench is really cutting it. I can't imagine using less than 4-5; Is it that you just sorta had a three-man rotation for big men, 1-1 for point guards, and the rest of the positions were entirely interchangeable within each other (Harrington both forwards, J. Smoove SG/SF/PF, Childress SG/SF, Jackson SF/SG)

Also, why not play Donta Smith to develop him. He is also a rookie with great upside.

Usually, I use a 10 man rotation, and include Donta and Willis, but I simulated to the fourth quarter and it was to close of a game to fool around. I think the PC didnt put Donta in this game, because Jimmy Jackson was getting all the minutes off the bench.

Anyways, I guess Im going to have to replay those two games that dissapeared, although I hate to. Damn this sucks, I dont know how something like this happens.

Rumor Mill Starts Up Again!

Image

Just when things finally start to settle down again in Atlanta, word starts up about Al Harrington, once again. During the late fourth quarter of last night's win over the King's, Coach Woodson subbed the hot shooting Jim Jackson in for Al Harrington. Al was visably upset and looked to be sulking on the bench, not talking to anyone. Word is that Al is sick of losing minutes, and not being the "Go To" Guy in the fourth quarter. Rumors have started up that Al Harrington will infact ask for a trade. We don't know if there is any truth to the rumor, since the last time it was stated that Al requested a trade, Hawk's Management and Al himself denied the rumors, and no trades were made. We hope to get more updates on the situation as soon as we can, and will try to get word with Usher, and Hawk's management.

No! Keep Al! Put him back at SF/PF and let Smith be the floater when someone needs a break as he can be played on the wings and at PF! Having such a versatile player means that at all times you can be running 3/4 of Harrington, Childress, Smith and Jackson. That's power baby.

Hawk's Make It 3; Give The Jazz The Blues!

The Hawk's made it three in a row today, finishing up the month of December with a great record, 8-4. The Jazz could just not slow down the transition of the Hawks. Jimmy Jackson continued to stroke it from the bench, knocking up 13 Points. Samuel Dalembert got yet another double-double, crashing the boards hard. Josh Childress had a nice game with 14 Points and 8 Rebounds. Through all the rumors of requesting trades, Al Harrington did not let it effect him tonight, knocking in 22 Points along with 9 Rebounds. The Hawks finished out December with three great wins, and will now enter their tough month of January. The Hawk's will face many powerhouses this month, and will kick it off with the Denver Nuggets.
