Great comments MKBaller. Definately a good choice for Head Coach.

36 Three Attempts? 36? IMO, you should just feed Bosh (as Mkballer said) and then make Jalen Rose a "Driver". Take him into the lane when Bosh isn't working. These two can be a great duo to build around. I think the only players that should take consistent three's is a sparkplug of your bench.

Post-Game Conference

Assistant coach Emiliano Rebon will answer all your questions

Reporter: Hello Emiliano, what do you think the team's performance was?

Emiliano: I know we did good for the first game, once again this is a new team, a new staff....this is jjst the beginning.

Reporter: What do you think about Chris Bosh's performance?

Emiliano: Oh he played a great. He showed us he can lead the team.

Reporter: What are you guys gonna do to prepare for next game?

Emiliano: Well, we are definately gonna try to get all the coach's input so we can be better prepared.

Thank you for taking the time to answering our questions.

Interview with Morris Peterson and Jalen Rose

Interviewer Morris Peterson Jalen Rose

I caught up with the swingmen for the Raptors, Morris Peterson and Jalen Rose after tonight's game. Here's what went down:

Morris, Jalen. Great game tonight, but I gotta ask you, what's with all the threes?

Most people must be thinking I'm trigger happy! Don't forget, to close a gap at the end, you gotta throw them up. I was the sharpshooter in the first half, so they called on me. Unfortunately, I just couldn't perform.

Jalen, you were cold tonight in the first half, but picked it up in the second. What caused the change?

Well, Kobe was on me like a necropheliac on a dead guy. What? I'm literate, dawg. Anyways, oh...hahaha...sex jokes and Kobe...not sucha good combo. Sorry, man. He was playin tight D. In the third quarter, I came in at the 3 and started driving a little more. I ended up setting up a lotta shots too because they had to cover me tighter. But that switch really seemed to do the trick.

Yeah, but then I got to ride the pine or cover Kobe, and ain't no one liking that.

Speaking of defense, Jalen, you are certainly not known for your defensive efforts yet you pretty much neutralized Kobe.

Yeah, I dunno. I just kept in front of him and tried not to let him get in on me. It worked. Second half though, he became a little more aggressive, but we can blame that on my man Petey here.

Yeah, you definitely can. Thanks for your time. So once again, the surprisingly jovial Raptors lose 85-77 in LA, but vow not to take as many three-pointers next game and urge fans to stop criticizing that. For now, I'm the Interviewer and I might just see you after the next game.

mkballer - can you perhaps post a strategy for the next game. Obviously going inside more is a priority, but subbing? Emiliano whipped up the line-up and I just sorta played it out. I have the subbing record from when I played that I can send to you if you'd like.

I already talked about the game even before he posted so no comments...anyways here are the 3 FA's me and Matin are focusing on:
Pos Name Age Yrs Pro Height Weight Overall

SG Tim Pickett 23 R 6’4 207 53
PF Marcus Haislip 23 2 6’10 230 53
PG/SG J.R. Bremer 24 2 6’2 185 51

and me and *Sensation* are talking about a 4 player trade with Cleveland.....but i am still waiting for joeygraham to give me the ratings for all the players ratings from both teams

Post-Game Conference

With Ast. Coach Sam (Sensation) Keon

Reporter: Sam, what could your team had done better tonight to preserve a victory?

Keon: Well, I don't think we did too bad a job tonight, I mean the guys played a great game and we came up a bit short. Sure we trembled a little along the way but I was proud with the effort tonight.

Reporter: What did you think about Jalen's (Rose) play on Kobe Bryant?

Keon: Well, you know Jalen Rose is one player that we strongly depend on both offense and defense. He didn't have too strong of a night on the offensive end but a big key on keeping the team in the game was obviously shutting down Kobe.

Reporter: How did you feel about Mo-Pete's play there as he was jacking up 3's in the second half?

Keon: I wasn't too happy about the constant three's that we were putting up, but I like that Mo-Pete is feeling confident in his game and his shot which we know is a good one. So I'm not too concerned.

Reporter: What will you guys need to do to bounce back next game?

Keon: It's still the the beginning of the season, we're just trying to get the guys to feel comfortable and get the confidence they need to win games.

Reporter: Now we understand that you and several others in the Raptors organization are thinking about Acquiring some players. We have heard of rumors about a possible deal with Cleveland. What do you comment on that?

Keon: We are actually considering a deal with the Cavs, and actually signing some players for depth on our rosters, but yes. The Cleveland rumors are true but again we're not too worried about as it is only the beginning of the season.

Reporter: Any word on what players will be involved in this deal with the Cavs?

Keon: Young, big men. That's all I can tell you for now.

Reporter: Thanks for your time Mr. Keon.

Keon: No problem.

TORONTO RAPTORS PRESS RELEASE

General Manager Khalid Sleiman and Primary Assistant Manager Matin Haso anounced today that there's indeed trade talks going on, and this afternoon they also raported saying their travelling to Cleveland to meet with the GM staff and Discuss a possible trade involving a couple of players, Khalid later proclaimed that the two main guys in the trade in progress are Donny Marshall and Drew Gooden.

Trade comfirmation will appear after a descision is made between the two parties.

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:10 am

Sounds good guys, Drew Gooden is a great young player. Curious to see the rest of the details in the trade. Hopefully you can get srome great talent like J-Mac, or Wagner.

:shifty:

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:19 am

^^ Haha. If you did, great job,

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:20 am

Sensation is blowing smoke. I've got my money on Newble and Diop. They'd both look great in Raptors uniforms...on the bench....or IR.

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:22 am

I was thinking of Newble. Solid contributor off the bench. I know people hate on him in this board, but when he was with the Hawk's, he was more helpful than Glenn Robinson. I saw him in person and he was a solid contributor. Good for about 8 and 8 in my mind. Diop? That would be good. He would get more minutes in Toronto. Hopefully you pull of Newble, at least.

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:29 am

I'm just screwing with you .LA. I'm trying to incite a riot here with Newble (a fan favourite...for hating) and Diop (a fan favourite...for breaking benches). But the trade will be finalized soon (we hope). In the meantime, game two recap and pics will be posted and there are a couple of alley-oop pics. 5 points if you can name the two connections (passer - jammer). It's tough - make that 10 points! :D

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:35 am

Yeah, Diop is ridiculous. But Newble is a solid contributor. Sure he looks like a joke, but he can contribute. J-Mac > Those two any day. Diop needs to let that hair grow out.. his head scares me. :| . As for the passer and dunker, would say Skip', and CB4 but thats to easy. Skip and Jalen Rose?

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:39 am

Alston to Rose, Peterson to Bosh?

Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:40 am

mmm...interesting trade.Cant wait to see the whole deal!
