Hey guys, hows it going? I finally decided to post my dynasty...I am doing a dynasty with the Orlando Magic....I play it for xbox but I will provide pics with my camera...I actually finished my first year and I finished the season with a 15-14 record. I will post playoff results later, but first I want to recap the season...

My Team:
First off, before I started the season, I did a big trade
I traded Cuttino Mobley to the New York Knicks for Kurt Thomas and a second round pick.

I was happy how things were going during the first couple of games but then some of my players werent getting the job done...Hedo Turkoglu was missing too many open shots :x So about 7 games into the season I trade Turkoglu,Battie and Declerq to the Sonics for Murray,James and Potapenko. The trade worked out great...

My Team

C Dwight Howard 21.1 pt/ 11.6 reb/ 3.5 ast
PF Kurt Thomas 16.5 pt/ 8.6 reb/ 2.3 ast
SF Grant Hill 12.7 pt/ 4.3 reb/ 2.8 ast
SG Ronald Murray 14.1 pt/ 2.3 reb/ 2.7 ast
PG Steve Francis 22.9 pt/ 2.5 reb/ 5.4 ast

Bench

Cato 10.7 pt/ 6.6 reb/ 1.7 ast
Stevenson 7.2 pt/ 1.3 reb/ 1.5 ast
Potapenko 7.0 pt/ 5.9 reb/ 1.3 ast
Bogans 6.8 pt/ 1.3 reb/ 2.0 ast
Garrity 6.0 pt/ 1.2 reb/ 0.6 ast
Bradley 4.0 pt/ 3.0 reb/ 1.0 ast
Nelson 3.8 pt/ 0.6 reb/ 2.2 ast
J.James 3.7 pt/ 2.2 reb/ 0.8 ast

Awards
Dwight Howard won the rookie of the year award!
Image

We made it to the playoffs in 5th place...

Hope you guys like it so far, and I'll post the playoffs results later...

Yeah, I was wondering why you didn't have a dynasty. And why the embarrassed smiley after 15-14 record? I'd be pleased with that in my Nuggets dynasty.

you are blushing about 15-14? I'm 3-9 thus far with the Magic (no Mobley though - just a disgruntled Christie starting). Goooooooo 1st overall pick!

Keep up the good dynasty-ing! I'm liking the new Magic. Howard is and will become even more of a dominant big man.

Ok guys, here is some playoff coverage:

First Round

Opponent: New York Knicks
Result: I won the series 2-0
Believe it or not this series was hard! Both games were close ones! Francis really played good that series averaging 25.5 pts...Kurt Thomas steped up as well with 22.2 pts. The Knicks were on fire through out the whole series.Cuttino Mobley played great for them.
Im glad we pulled it off.

Second Round (in progress)

Opponent: Detroit Pistons
Result: 1-1 (still in progress)
The first game was at Auburn Hills...and what a game! I was losing by 20 points but I came back and with 1:22 seconds left in the game I took the lead! My first lead of the whole game! From then on we just traded basket for basket. With 5 seconds left, Billups makes a shot! 2.2 seconds left and no timeouts I send a hailmary pass to steve francis...he passes to ronald murray and with a hand on his face he makes the fadeaway jumper with 0.7 left in the clock! You cant imagine how happy I was!! :D They tried to make a shot but missed! I was up 1-0
Second game was another great game...with 6 seconds left in the game, the score was 89-89...I gave it to Stevie. He is double teamed so he passes to Murray who misses the shot!!
We go to overtime and from then on it was Detroit basketball...I lost 110-105...Next game will come soon!

BREAKING NEWS!!
Dwight Howard and Pat Garrity got injured in the second game of the Pistons series....I just found out the test results!!

Dwight Howard will miss 13 days with neck spasm!
Image

Pat Garrity out for 10 days with strained calf!

Dwight Howard's 22.0 pts/g will be missed!

Game 3: Orlando Magic at Detroit Pistons

The game started great even though we didnt have star-player Dwight Howard...We started on a 14-4 run! Everybody was getting the job done, and Kelvin Cato was filling in nicely for injured Howard. By the end of the first half, I was winning by 8...During the first half I managed to lead by 17 at a point! Second half is when disaster struck...Not only did they manage to tie the game but they even took the lead with 1:00 left in the 3rd quarter  By the start of the fourth quarter, things look bad and kept getting worse...Kelvin Cato got injured on a play and Jerome James had to fill in for him. Cato had 10 points and 7 rebs at the time. He would not come back. It was all downhill from there. I ended up losing the game 101-86 ( the 4th quarter was a nightmare :x ) We really needed Dwight Howard, specially in the final quarter.
Steve Francis finished with 21 points and Flip Murray with 23 points...
As you can see I lost in the second round 2-1, the Pistons faced the C's next and won 2-1....in the west the Spurs( :D ) faced the Mavs and Spurs won 2-0...So Spurs-Pistons in the finals(mmm...where have i seen that before?) Spurs won the series 2-0! SPURS CHAMPIONS

Allright guys, off-season is here and I'm expecting to make changes!
See ya in the off-season!!

OFF-SEASON

Trades and Free Agent signings

Ok guys, the top free agents of my team were Ronald Murray, Grant Hill and Kelvin Cato...
ImageImageImage

Unfortunately, Grant Hill wanted a massive 4-year 33-million dollar contract...It is too much money to give to Grant Hill since he is past his prime :( . Thanks for everything Grant!
Image

I signed Ronald Murray and Kelvin Cato.

The next thing I did was going in the free-agent signings. I figured I needed a shooter that is not so expensive. That's why I signed free-agent Kyle Korver!Image

Trade:

Magic give:
Image Kelvin Cato

(from Sonics)Receive:
Image Hedo Turkoglu
Image Steven Hunter

and A.Hagan (rookie)

Another Trade:

Magic give:
Kyle Korver and Jameer Nelson

(from Spurs) Receive:
Robert Horry and a rookie

OFFSEASON RECAP:
Ok guys, during this off-season, my plan was to trade for Manu Ginobili. Unfortunately, it wasnt possible, but there's always next year
Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the trades and signings. I think R.Horry will bring leadership and experience to our young team. Getting Turkoglu back after trading him last year wasn't what I had planed but I figured I give him another chance (besides we need some shooters)
I'm also happy on getting Steven Hunter because he gives Dwight a rest and brings a strong force from the post. The Draft was great...I got the 19th pick of the draft and chose a rookie named Burnton...He is a great shooter! Hope you liked the off-season....See ya next season!
