i was doing self alley oop on 1 on 1 game,rookie challege and all star game,then i tried to do it on a nba game and it didn't work?is this a problem,or it is like that?

I did it one time in an NBA game with LeBron, but that was only once. The problem is they box you out. If you don't have the right bounce and an open lane then it probably won't work, or maybe just pure luck.

or when i do it in a game it is off-ball,should i change "r" to another letter?

What you can try to do is press the 'layup' button when you're somewhat far away,you'll miss the shot 99% of the time but you can dunk it home eventually before it hits the ground.

how did you do it if its limited to all star game, 1 on 1s, and practice?
