NLSC Current Roster Update v1.15 (16 Jul 05) Released...

The wait is over: version 1.15 of the current roster update for NBA Live 2005 is now released and available to download here.

Key features of this update:
- 2005 Offseason Rosters (July 16th, 2005)
- Crash during Dynasty Mode fixed
- Player ratings updated
- Coaches updated
- Years pro updated

A huge thanks to shiva, Thierry Henry and Rouziys for their help in fixing the crash in Dynasty Mode caused by a troublesome dbf file. Thanks also to Kobe8Rice41 for the Phil Jackson cyberface. You can find the official support thread here.

One question: How come Jim O'Brien is still the 76ers coach in the roster update. Wheres Mo Cheeks?

is there somthing wrong wif the player value?
hmm...some stupid free agents cost 62.98M though...(like 20+ players)
and i can see David Harrison is only 4K...

i dunno but my game crashed when i played 3 pt sht out in NBA All Star Mode. i know it has something to do with this latest roster. coz i used my roster and it worked fine.

once again, good job on the updates.......

did anyone try to give nicknames to a few rookies? I replaced a few of the created ones on the game with the real nicknames of the rookies (ex. CP3, G-Money, Big Dub)

I did make a lot of updates, but I'm by no means finished. Suggestions for player ratings, rookies or veterans, are always welcome.

im sure this has been addressed b4, but how can i add the cyberfaces for the rookies? ive already d/l'ed the rookie packs made by some patchers, but im not sure what to do with this roster... thx for any help

he wuz still in their roster... as long as he has a contract with the bucks, he remains in the professional league

He was under contract but did not play in any games; similar thing happened with Nick Collison his actual rookie year, which is why he was still a rookie this year.

No, I mustn't. I do not agree with that change, I don't change ratings simply to boost or lower the overall ratings and I don't think Gordon has the most varied range of dunks in the league.

The current roster patch has all of the new rookies created. The previous version also had all of the new rookies created, I thought I made that pretty clear. Many of them are in the free agent pool as NBA Live 2005 does not support more than 15 players on a team's roster.

Say you wanted to add rashad mccants. Open the players.dbf file in that 05-06 roster and find him there (I use Excel to do this, btw). In the columns ISCREATED, FACEPATCH, and ISGENERATE to FALSE (columns BL, BM, and BN). For PLAYERPKG (col. BQ), enter RAMCCAN. Save the edited .dbf file. Then go to the appearance.dbf file in that same save folder. Go down to the same row where you have McCants in the players.dbf file (row 762). Change the FACEID (column C) to -1, and ID7 to RAMCCAN.

Some patches have instances where the bodytype (col. H) and muscletext (col. I) are changed for the player. I think it adds more detail to the specific player so it will look closer to the actual person.

When you are done editing, add the .ebo, .fsh, and .big files to the sgsm folder. Now you should be able to see a portrait for that rookie and his new look when you play the game.

P.S. for the PLAYERPKG and ID7 columns, the data is the first 2 letters of the first name and the last 5 of the last name (ex. ANBOGUT, DEWILLI, GEGREEN). If the person has less than 5 letters in the last name, put in a space so it will be 7 characters (ex. CHPAUL_, SEMAY__, CHFRYE__)

Could someone send me their DBF appearance and players file with all the rookie updating done...? Would be a huge help
