Averaging a double double and clocking in an unbelievable 82 game season, Webber gets it done- earning Team MVP honors with a weighted Birdie score of 23.22- and his 'reversible' Live Card is now enabled.

Breaking into the Board:
This Dynasty instance is currently ranked #32 on the Official 2005 Birdie Board

cwebbiverson: Thanks so much for submitting me the stats and giving me some time to work on some new programming techniques(the font on the reverse size of your card was actually "mathematically" developed...nothing too phenomenal yet...) Sorry it took so long though...Good luck in the playoffs and submit your next season stats when you finish your 21st game!

PLAYOFFS 2ND ROUND RESULTS

WEST

(1) Memphis
defeats (5) Dallas 4-3

Image

The Grizzlies were tired, and for Games 2, 3, and 4, they definitely showed it against a tough Dallas team. But as the series went on, Memphis played a little better, while Dallas played a little worse. The Grizzlies then won the next 3 games, including a blowout at Dallas in Game 6, to win the series.

(2) Minnesota
defeats (6) Houston 4-1

Image

Both teams forced a game 7 in the first round, and they each won. This series was truly about which team was better, not which team was more "well-rested" or "tired" Minnesota and Kevin Garnett showed they were the better team by winning the series in 5 games.

EAST

(5) Philadelphia
defeats (8) New York 4-1

Image

The Sixers, other than a meltdown in Game 2, were brilliant against the Knicks, who's quest to make the NBA Finals again as an 8 seed failed. Philly will now face Reggie Miller and the Pacers in the next round.

(7) Indiana
defeats (3) Boston 4-2

Image

This series was one of the closest series in NBA history, with 4 games being decided by 3 points or less, and no games decided by more than 6 points. After the Celtics won the first two games, #31 took charge, scoring clutch basket after basket (including the big 3 with less than 10 seconds to go in Game 6) They will face the Sixers in the next round.

CONFERENCE FINALS PREVIEW

WEST

Image

Minnesota defeats Memphis 4-1

The Grizzlies just finished barely beating the Mavs, while the T-Wolves are fresh off a 5 game series against Houston. Minnesota should easily be able to make it to the conference finals.

EAST

Image

Philadelphia defeats Indiana 4-3

The Sixers are now facing an extremely tough Indiana team, who finished a very close series against Boston. Philly will win Game 7, and the margin will be too large for Reggie to do anything about it.

Chris Webber made dunks like this to win Game 1.

PHILDELPHIA, PA (AP) -- The Sixers played well today as they won by 5. The big difference however, was rebounding. It was no match there as Philly had 41 boards to Indiana's 18. After the game, Jermaine O'Neal said, "It was like every ball that didn't go in magically went into the Sixers hands and not ours. Part of the reason they got so few was that the teams took so few shots (139 combined) mainly because the controller fucked up and i had to let the computer play half the game for me, and they always use up the clock on every posession But, nonetheless, the Sixers won.

Sixers hang on
Miller missed 3-pointer at buzzer

ImagePacers-109
ImageSixers-112

This cover-the-eyes dunk by Andre Iguodala got the crowd on their feet and turned the momentum to the Sixers side.

PHILDELPHIA, PA (AP) -- Philly won again despit being down by 5 entering the 4th. They made big plays when they needed to. But the big difference maker was Allen Iverson. He had 19 points in the 4th, including 39 in the game overall. Also once again rebounding was key. When Willie Green was fouled by Jamaal Tinsley, Tinsley's 5th, Green knew that he needed to miss the free throw so the Sixers could try and force Tinsley to foul out. He did miss, and Jackson got the board. They swung it back to Green, who was guarding Tinsley at the time, and he drew the foul. Anthony Johnson was not as good while playing PG, and the Sixers won.

One surprising thing was that Reggie Miller missed shots at crucial parts of the game mainly because there is no clutch rating in live 05, and he missed it because the game does not make clutch players better in the clutch. However, the Sixers won.

Re: cwebbiverson PHILADELPHIA 76ERS DYNASTY GAME 2 PACERS-SI

A long time ago, I posted this.........

cwebbiverson wrote:10/28/04 Sixers Put Jamal Mashburn on IL.
This was expected as Jamal Mashburn is missing the entire season.
Other guys missing season:
Luke Jackson
Ron Artest(Suspension)
Kerry Kittles
TJ Ford
Mark Madsen
Jacque Vaughn
Hedo Turkoglu
Zach Randolph
Alvin Williams
Carlos Boozer
Andrei Kirilenko

However, for some of these players, it was not the entire season. Mark Madsen and Jamal Mashburn are available to play for their teams. Also, David Stern is now letting Ron Artest play because, "He is doing well off the court, and the Pacers are losing badly right now to the Sixers so I have decided to let him play again. Of the 3, Artest is the only one that will play in the next game. Unless Philadelphia or Minnesota gets an injury from one of their players, Mashburn and Madsen are likely going to not play in the playoffs.

Webber has huge Game 3
Philly looks to sweep in Game 4

This three by Iverson was also Webber's 10th assist of the game, giving him a triple double. Even though C-Webb fouled out before the Sixers took the lead, this play tied it and the Sixers went on to win.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) -- Today was the day for the Pacers to win, not the Sixers. They had Reggie Miller trying to keep his quest alive to win the championship. They had Ron Artest back in the lineup. And also, they enjoyed a comfortable 14 point lead.

It seemed that the only people in Conseco Fieldhouse that did not believe that the Pacers would win were the 76ers. Chris Webber killed Indiana and stunned the crowd with the dunks, the fadeaways, the 18 footers, the battles he won at the boards, and the great passes he gave to his teammates.

"It was just my night," said Webber after the game. "I felt like I could do anything out there. It seemed as if the basket was humongous, and that every ball came into my hands when it was in the air and it seemed like every pass I made, that someone made it."

Another key to the game may have been Jermaine O'Neal fouling out early into the 4th quarter. The Pacers fans booed, arguing that the foul was on Johnathan Bender and not on him. Ron Artest wanted to go right at the referee, but he actually used his brain this time and thought "What would happen to me this time?" Artest had 12 points in limited minutes while trying to adjust back into the game.

The crowd cheered when Chris Webber fouled out with 5:26 to go in the 4th. However, even though there best player that night was gone, the Sixers knew that they all had to step up. One player in particular that stepped up, was none other than Allen Iverson. He had 14 points in the final period, many coming at clutch times late in the game.

The Sixers will be looking to wrap it up here in Conseco Fieldhouse in a few days and make it to the NBA Finals.

Johnathan Bender and the Pacers reject C-Webb and the Sixers chance of sweeping the series.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AP) -- Reggie Miller did not want his career to end like this.

The Pacers, who have been dominated by the Philadelphia 76ers the whole series, looked overmatched, tired, and was about to be swept tonght.

For at least one more game, the Pacers stayed alive.

No. 31 had 24 points and 7 assists tonight. Jermaine O'Neal had 35 points and 16 rebounds for a great day for the Pacers.

"Now we have to go on the road and win the next game," said Miller. "This win was nice, but it means nothing unless we win the series."

"Tonight was a bad game," said Allen Iverson, who had 23 points. "Hopefully we can shake this game off and win back at home."
