This is one of the biggest wins for a league over its players since the NFL raped their union into the hardest cap around. Looks like hockey's will be along thos elines, so now dumbass teams won't overspend on big names when they still can't draw fans.

IMO, they should still consider contracting about 8 teams, or at least moving them to Canadian cities where fans will actually show up. Columbus, Phoenix, Nashville? Those are nothing close to being a hockey city. There's no car crashes or tobacco spitting in hockey, so they should've never created teams in cities like that in the firts place, then they wouldn't have been in this mess. Bring hockey back to Winnioeg, Quebec (ewww) and some new places like Regina or Halifax and the league would be much stronger, and the people who actyually watch the games and follow the league every year could actually go to a game.

Do I care? No not really, The game has lost my interest in it...I dont really care to much. You know you got a problem when you miss the Blue jays more than the NHL. So yeah the NHL can suck my dick because it will be the same product again and again and untill the make major changes they wont get be in my heart again. However I do love my New Jersey Devils but I dont care too much right now, I dont get many games on TV for N.J so meh..

Kevin as to your comment. The NHL will never have a team in Regina because they couldnt support it, well finnically they probably couldnt. I would love for that to happen because really who gives a shit about hockey in Carolina, Nashville, Anahiem, Florida, Tampa Bay and all those pathatic southern American markets. BRing the game back to Winnipeg and Quebec and Stick a team in Halifax because they may be able to if everyone from the martimes bought tickets

That's the stupidest thing I've ever read...

LMAO hockey in Regina? you won't have a single person watching your games... half of the people in Regina can't afford to get a haircut let ahold watch a NHL game

well finnically they probably couldnt

...? Financially ?

The teams like Tampa Bay, Florida, Nashville... they have players in the stands and dish out good money to their players.. so before you rant on about how "shitty" they are do some research.

Okay, change of topic: What's your favorite NHL team?

I'm all for the San Jose Sharks. What canI say, I'm addicted to Bay Area Sports. Preferrably East of the Bay... :D

Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:00 am

You should move there, Dweaver. I like the NJ Devils ('cause I used to play them in NHL 2002 :P )

Sun Jul 24, 2005 1:19 pm

Leafs Fan. I also own NHL 2002. Rarely play it any more though...

Wed Jul 27, 2005 5:07 am

Screw the Flames, Edmonton Oilers all the way

Even though I didn't really care about the lockout, I'm kinda glad that hockey's back because I do miss hearing about hockey news and events.

Wed Jul 27, 2005 9:05 am

Hey, the Penguins won the lottery and will draft Sidney Crosby, already touted as teh next Lemieux... We'll just have to wait and see as alwayes, I guess. :D

Wed Jul 27, 2005 12:37 pm
