K this may sound pretty stupid but... I reakcon Muggsy and Spud Webb should be part of the 50 greatest players... deffinately Spud Webb!

Wat are your views... maybe we can start a debate and bring in some other playas!

Webb

I'm not sure about Webb's impact on the league in terms of actual games (not the dunk contest), so I'd go with Mugsy. I'm sure Spud had some descent seasons, but I know Bogues had many good seasons with high assist and steal totals. He also won that award given to the player with the best court vision or awareness, but I can't remember what it's called. Spud eventually faded whereas Bogues was probably a solid contributor for longer, from what I can remember. I didn't look at the stats so if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will point it out.

Mugsy Bogues seemed to be a perfect fit for the Hornets in the mid 90's, and it's a pitty they couldn't make it work and fell apart. He had a good (maybe great?) assist to turnover ratio, plenty of heart and leadership, and chipped in some points too. They had plenty of scorers and he played his role well, distributing the ball to Zo, LJ, Hersey Hawkins, Dell Curry...

I guess the players height being a defficiency on defense is irrelevant here.

I would have picked Mighty Mouse had he continued, or stayed fairly close to the perfomer he was in his first couple of seasons.

Of course I would choose Mugsy Bogues if one of those players had to be included.

Avery Johnson would pwn then all.. well maybe not Muggsy.. but he was on the Raptors

i think musggsy should, but as for overall 5 footers in the leuge, as in 5'5 5'7 i think that they are THE hardest workes in the NBA, I think earl boyking now is the hardest worker in the nba and will be then barkley or any othe superstar, not just him, avery, muggsy, but no way damon, he has taken advantage of his pig pay check and went to smoke some....

i think none of them should be in the 50 greatest players!!

they might be playing very well during their career, but none of them got a very big impact to their team! you know, to be one of the greatest, one should be able to lead his team to win, but among the players you mentioned, it seems that no one can do this!!

but judging from their height, they were (are) very good indeed!

best player under 6 foot?

The only reason any of them could make it is becasuse of their height IMO(or lack thereof.) None of them are good enough to be considered 50 greatest, at least yet in Earl and Damon's case.
