Right click the .fsh file, choose 'open with' and browse for nfsh tool and open it with that. It will extract some files into a folder at the same location where the .fsh file is. Go into that and there will be, among other stuff, .bmp files. I'm not 100% about this next thing, but I think its right: Delete the .dds since that are the transparency mappings, and since your not going to change anything with that, just delete them from the folder. Open up and make your changes to the .bmp's (make sure their in 24bit) and save them. Then go to the folder, right click on the index.fsh and choose 'open with'; choose nfsh tool. Then it will compile the new .fsh file with your changes if you've done it correctly.
A tip would be to read the readme...
