Yeah i got the new cyberface, thanks. Good Luck for the draft. The draft will probably happen in a month so just wait for the season to finish

I might do a scouting report for the NLSC rookies but not for the real life rookies.

Injury update

16/11/2004

Sebastien Telfair has recovered from his minor injury. He will be included on the bench for the Trailblazers and place Chris Jeffries on the IR.

The Trailblazers next game is against the Memphis Grizzlies at home.

17/11/2004

The Grizzlies travel to Portland to meet the Portland Trailblazers. The Portland Trailblazers are coming off a 3 point win against the Raptors.

Starting line-ups

Image

Back to the normal line-up with Abdur-Rahim being 100% fit. I think Wells should be starting over Miller but this creates a mismatch in Defence for the Blazers.

1st Half Recap

The 1st quarter starting off slow with Grizzlies taking a 7 point lead and Zach Randolph got a Back injury. The Blazers managed to comeback and take the lead with a Derek Anderson buzzer beating 3 pointer. Antonio Davis starred off the bench scoring 8 points replacing Randolph. Abdur-Rahim also scored 10 points.

The Grizzlies started the 2nd quarter by taking back a 5 point lead over the Blazers. The Grizzlies continued their dominant offence by scoring some key 3 pointers to keep the lead above 5 points. Damon Stoudamire made a huge 4 point play by getting fouled from the 3 point line and making the shot and the and 1 which drew the game at 42 a piece. At 2:22 left in the quarter, Zach Randolph decided to check back in. The Grizzlies scored 5 points in a row then the Blazers scored 5 points in a row. The quarter ended with the Grizzlies up 49-48.

2nd Half Recap

The Grizzlies went out on a 12-0 run in the first 2 minutes. The Grizzlies continued to increase their lead and ended the quarter up by 14 points.

The Trailblazers began to make a come back, cutting the deficit to 3 points. But the Grizzlies made their lead go back to 9 points. The Grizzlies continued to have a double digit lead until Damon Stoudamire hit a few 3's in a row to cut the lead down to 5 points. But it wasn't enough as the Grizzlies won this game 102 to 98.

Player of the Game

Boxscores

Image

Damon Stoudamire after the game, "Zach's injury came at a bad time where he could have helped us make a lead in the 1st quarter. Ruben Patterson was disappointed once again, I think he needs to come off the bench instead of starting."

Memphis's Mike Miller, "Pau Gasol was rebounding really well, he took advantage of his height against Zach (Randolph). We are now 5 and 3 half way through November."

Portland's next game is at home this Friday against the stuggling Milwaukee Bucks.

Injury update

Zach Randolph has sustained a minor injury, he has a sore shoulder which will bother him for 4 days, probably only against the Bucks this Friday. Theo Ratliff will replace him on the starting line-up, as well as Derek Anderson replacing the poor performing Ruben Patterson.

See you at the Rose Garden

Thankyou and good bye, magadag25

The Trailblazers stay at home to play against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Starting line-ups
Image

Theo Ratliff starting ahead of Zach Randolph because of his injury. The Bucks have a strong line up there.

1st Half Recap

The 1st quarter was relatively even. The Bucks would make a 6 point run then the Blazers would make a 6 point run. The Bucks ended up being ahead at the end of the quarter by 2 points.

Image
Darius Miles slamming it down.

Not much was going right for the Blazers at the start of the 2nd quarter. The Bucks managed to stretch their lead out to a 9 point lead. Then the Bucks' TJ Ford injured his arm in a collision. The arm injury will keep TJ Ford out of the game. The Bucks continued their dominant play as the Blazers kept faulting. The Bucks ended the quarter up 66 to 53.

Key players At the Half

2nd Half Recap

The 3rd quarter was horrible for the Trailblazers as 4 players got into foul trouble once again. The Bucks extended their lead to 17 points at the end of the quarter.

Image
Shareef Abdur-Rahim slamming it in the paint.

The Trailblazers began to make a come back, cutting the lead down to 9 points. Toni Kuko received a minor arm injury near the end of the game. The Blazers tried to come back but the Bucks held on strong, taking this one 111-97.

Image
Zach Randolph had an off night with his injuries but no excuses for the rest of the team.

Player of the Game
Desmond Mason
Desmond Mason was red hot in this game.

Boxscores

Portland Trailblazers
Milwaukee Bucks

Derek Anderson after the game, "Dang our team had too many fouls, that's all I wanted to say...."

Desmond Mason interview, "It was bad to see TJ (Ford) and Toni (Kukoc) get injured. But we won and I hope they can recover."

Another disappointing loss for the Trailblazers, let's see if they can bounce back against the Houston Rockets, still playing at home.

Portland Win at home.
(Intervention [2nd Half] Game)

21/11/2004

The Houston Rockets come to Portland, as the Trailblazers try to grab a win.

1st Half Recap
The Houston Rockets dominated the 1st quarter as they headed out to a 11 point lead at the break. The Trailblazers managed to hold on in the 2nd quarter to reduce the deficit to 9.

2nd Half Recap
The Trailblazers began to make a comeback as Juwan Howard got fouled out and Yao Ming put into foul trouble. Two 3 pointers in a row from Derek Anderson evened the scores at 52 a piece. The Rockets continued their scoreless run as the Blazers took the lead. But the Rockets managed to come back and tie the game at 61-61. The Blazers ended the quarter, up 66-65.

The start of this quarter was very even, both teams exchanging the lead quite a bit. The Rockets shot out to a 6 point lead with the Blazers missing quite a few shots. Then the Trailblazers came back and were only behind by 2 points with less than a minute to go. with 14 seconds left, Damon Stoudamire drained a 3 pointer to give the Blazers a 1 point lead. Vin Baker shot up a 3 to try and win it but it was an air ball. The Blazers take this game 95-94.

With the Randolph injury, Abdur-Rahim is in the spotlight now

Yao Ming after the game, "I got into foul trouble and it effected my game and mentality, we should have won this. Oh well"

What an exciting win, we'll see you this Tuesday as we travel to Florida to verse Miami then the Magic.

Injury Update and Power Rankings.

22/11/2004

The Medical Staff have informed us that Zach Randolph is 100% and should be starting against Miami tommorow.

Also today, the first power rankings of the season were released.

POWER RANKINGS

As you can see, the San Antonio Spurs have burst out to an amazing 10-1 record, only losing to 2nd spot Boston by a point, to start the season.

The Trailblazers are positioned 22nd after some disappointing losses.

Thanks for the Good Luck  .

Here is some updates..

Shaq and Wade too strong.
(Simmed game)

23/11/2004

The Trailblazers travel to Miami after a good win at home.

1st Half Recap

The First half was pretty even affair. The Heat finished the half only up by 3 points.

2nd Half Recap

Shaq and D-Wade started to dominate the game as they combined for 64 points as they outscored the Trailblazers 36 to 18 in the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was pretty much the same as the Blazers lose this one 115-89.

Boxscores

Portland Trailblazers

Miami Heat

Derek Anderson after the game, "Ah, we kept our heads in the game for the first 2 quarters, but they were too strong in the 2nd half. We got a game tommorow and hopefully some new players."

Damon Jones after the game, "Shaq and Dwyane played really well together tonight. I hope we can keep this up."

The Trailblazers stay in Florida to play the Orlando Magic tommorow. Hope to see you there.

Trailblazers pull in Richardson and Russian Giant.

24/11/2004

The Trailblazers rang up the Phoenix Suns and offered a trade which would send Theo Ratliff and Ruben Patterson for Quentin Richardson.

The Suns accepted this trade as it improved their big man depth with Stoudamire, Hunter, Clark and now Ratliff.

The Trailblazers also signed free agent Pavel Podkolzin who was released by the Dallas Mavericks. Pavel brings in his 7"5 frame and his nice 15 foot jump shot.

Trailblazers win against Orlando.

24/11/2004

The Trailblazers go to the TD Waterhouse center to verse the Orlando Magic.

Starting line-ups
Image

The Orlando Magic are starting with 2 point guards. Quentin Richardson is playing his first game for the Trailblazers.

1st Half Recap

The first quarter was really even, with the quarter ending with both teams on 26 points. Both Zach Randolph and Pavel Podkolzing received minor injuries and the coaching staff are not sure about making them return.

Image
Randolph with the put back.

Quentin Richardson showing us why he is wanted in Portland.

The quarter started off even then the Magic made an 8-0 run so Zach Randolph decided to return to the floor. He made an instant impact scoring the Blazers next 8 points but his team mates weren't helping him on the defensive end. Zach Randolph continued his streak then in the final 10 seconds of the half, Derek Anderson made 2 steals, a basket and an assist to a Damon Stoudamire basket and that tied the game at 52 a piece.

Image
Shareef Abdur-Rahim on the fast break.

Zach Randolph was too powerful.

Key players At the Half
Zach Randolph and Steve Francis

2nd Half Recap
The quarter was pretty much an even affair again. Pavel Podkolzin decided to return to the floor for some playing time. Then Zach Randolph injured his leg again and won't be returning to the game. Shareef Abdur-Rahim suffered an injury as well, it wasn't a good day for injuries. But because of that injury and the foul on shot, the trailblazers tied up the game. The Trailblazers stayed strong and finished the quarter ahead 73 to 70.

Image
Zach's final basket of the match.
Image
Darius using his Frequent Flyers points.

The 4th quarter was still an arm wrestle between the teams. Shareef Abdur-Rahim decided to check back in. Both teams went shot for shot, it was quite phenomenal. The Magic made a 4 point lead then the Trailblazers came back and took at 1 point lead with 1:43 to go. Both teams went shot for shot then a Darius Miles rejection gave the Trailblazers a small advantage. The Magic began fouling and Damon Stoudamire sunk both his Free Throws. Grant Hill sunk a jump shot and it was more Free Throws for Damon. He sunk both of them and sealed the game at 107-104.

Image
Darius inspired his team.

Player of the Game
Steve Francis
Despite his team's loss, Steve Francis managed 45 points.

Boxscores

Portland Trailblazers

Orlando Magic

Quentin Richardson, "I was having an off night, bad to see 3 of our talls injured, they might need to stay out of a few games."

Steve Francis, "I was ripping 'em, ah well, what can ya do."

Injury Update.

Unfortunately, Zach Randolph is out for 6 weeks with a broken foot. This is extremely bad news for the team, fans and his career.

Also Shareef Abdur-Rahim has a sprained wrist and will be out for 9 days.

Pavel Podkolzin only received a minor elbow injury and won't miss any games.

These injuries will force Pavel Podkolzin to start as Center, Darius Miles to play as a Power Forward and Boris Diaw to play at the Small Forward starting spot.

We wish all the best to Zach Randolph for a quick and easy recovery. :chug:
