Your Choice in Training Camp

Postby drummond on Thu Jun 16, 2005 1:25 am

As a GM in a dynasty mode, I usually put all of the 100 points on shooting.

I am curious about where you invest and distribute your points.

I either simulate the Camp or put 25 everywhere for a balanced practice.

That's not the best opyion, you mind end up with 0...

From experience and testing, I have found out that spreading the points in a 60/40 or 65/35 ratio betweeon two areas is the most effective way to raise your stats... (Y)

Thanks for the advice,I guess I'll modify the practices from now on. I am quite satisfied with a simmed training camp, however.

Well in my experience, i always go 50-50 with 2 categories.....
mostly i do 50 defense and 50 conditioning.... i feel boosting these rating will help you than training with shooting and offense.

Yeah ... I mainly do conditioning. But in the latter seasons of my 25years Cavs dynasty, I had enough every year, for 100 on each ... so all was good :D

when I play (simulate) dynasty on every training camp I put 100 points on defense cause it is the best way to win the title.

100 conditioning.

I've found that conditioning helps my teams be better defensively than Defense training does, because they become so fast that other teams can't drive by them, and even if they do the help defense switches over too fast. They jump higher & get stronger, helping interior defense & rebounding.

I do some Defense camp just because the average Offense Awareness rating is pretty decent but the average Defense Awareness rating is 50 or lower even on star players.

That kind of training is brutal for guys with already high Steal ability...one game Iguodala and Devin Harris both nabbed 7 steals apiece

I tried 60 on scoring and 40 on conditioning but the result was not better than putting 100 points on one category.

Maybe I need to try again after playing another season.

Yes, conditioning is good too.

During the season, my focus is on conditioning for speed.
