BIG SHOT ROB TAKES SHOT FOR THE AGES

DATE: November 3rd, 7:30 P.M.
LOCATION: SBC Center

Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs

Brad Miller got the tip to start off the Spurs season, but soon throwing it away to Ginobili. Bibby got the first bucket of the game with a three pointer. The frustrated Spurs took a time out with 3:00 left in the 1st, trailing by 9 points. Popovich put Robert Horry in the game for Bruce Bowen, who was struggling from the field. They came back to finish the 1st quarter trailing by 1 point in the low scoring quarter of 17-16 for the Kings.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Popovich put in almost all bench players (Udrih, Barry, Horry, Nesterovic) except for Duncan. Smart move. They came out coasting. Horry was the first player on the Spurs to go into double digits. The half-time score came out to be 42-38 for the Spurs. San Antonio outscored the Kings 26-21 in the 2nd quarter. 18-37 = 48% FG at half-time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The kings went on an 8-0 run to start the second half, but the Spurs spurred back and had the lead. but they had one problem, they couldn't stop Bibby from scoring in the 3rd quarter. Through out the 3rd, it went the same way all the way, the Kings score, then the Spurs score. It was tied at 62 at the end of the 3rd.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 4th was terrible for the Spurs, a single shot didn't drop for about 2 mins. Then, shot after shot, the Spurs came back with 26.7 seconds remaining. Ginobili cashed in a triple to tie the game at 83. SHOWTIME. Bibby wasted down mostly all the clock, untill he shot a deep two and missed with 3 secs, but Miller was there to grab the board and jam it home with 1.3 left. The Spurs were stunned. The Kings thought they had it, but they obviously havn't met Mr. Horry. Bowen inbounded, but got it tipped by Peja, luckly, it was re-directed to Robert Horry with 0.6 left on the clock. Horry chucked up a shot and it dropped. Bibby was in aw, put his hands over his heads and Peja talked with him off the court.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robert Horry got "Player Of The Game" with 21 Points, 9 Rebounds, 3 Blocks and 4 assists. Time Duncan also got some big numbers with a double double. (14 Points, 10 Rebounds)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robert Horry had an interview with Ahmad Rashad after the game and Rashad asked "What did you feel when you let go of that ball for the game winning shot?" Horry, "I've done shots like these before in my career, like back in 2002, I hit a shot that won us a big game in the Conference Finals, also against the Sacramento Kings. I'm happy that people know me for my clutch shots, and hopefuly I can hit more of those shots in the future."

San Antonio Spurs' Record: 1-0

(No Pictures Because I Don't Know How To Take Pictures.)

SPURS FALL BEHIND IN 4TH FOR LAKERS VICTORY

SAN ANTONIO SPURS at LOS ANGELES LAKERS

DATE: November 5th, 7:30 P.M.
LOCATION: Staples Center

Timmy D got the tip, but within seconds, it was Lakers ball due to a turnover. the game started quick paced, but early on, Ginobili was taken off the court because we wasn't guarding his man, Kobe Bryant, who hit back to back triples. Turnover after turnover. the Lakers easily took the lead. Later, a Brent Barry 3-Pointer got the Spurs ahead with an 8-0 run. Laker soon took over. Including a Chucky Atkins triple at the buzzer, to give the Lakers a 31-23 1st quater lead.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Spurs started to slowly comeback scoring in large number while Lakers scoring little numbers. Manu went hot in the second quarter. In the last 2 mins, the Lakers went on an 11-2 run. Then, Ginobili stunned, in the last minute, he hit four 3-pointers and one lay-up. Finishing that run at 3.7 secs. With only 3.7 left, Beno Udrih stole the inbound pass from George. He went for a lay-up but was goaltended. 2 points. Half-tiem score 53-47 for the Spurs. Ginobili had 19 points in the second quarter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lakers came out hot cutting the lead into 1, and eventually take a one point lead. The Spurs got very frustrated. The Lakers got a 10-0 run to take a three point lead. The Lakers took the third leading 69-64.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have NOTHING to say about the forth quarter, except for that the Spurs did a terrible job scoring. All of their 9 forth quarter points were made from free throws. Not a single feild goal. They lose by a large margin of 89-73.

AN AMAZING COMEBACK FROM SPURS WASN'T ENOUGH

SAN ANTONIO SPURS AT SEATTLE SUPERSONICS

DATE: November 7th, 7:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Key Arena

Jerome James got the tip and in just seconds, Luke Ridnour got a finger role. Only 1 minute in, the score was 9-9, both teams 1.000. But the Spurs went cold. Only scoring 3 points in 3 mins. After a Rashard Lewis block, Ray Allen POSTERIZED Manu on the other end. A poor first quarter for the Spurs. The Sonics finished it with a 12-2 run. Score: 23-14 Sonics.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Spurs slowly screached back, being down by as much as 11, it went down to 4. Then, a Horry triple, down to 1 point. The mad Sonics take a time-out. Horry is the first Spur in double digits. But a Ray Allen run stopped the Spurs. Half-Time Score: 38-31.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Popavich made a mistake by putting in certain players. It was all about the
turnovers in the third. Down 18. A stunningly terrible performance by the Spurs, in fact, I wouldn't even call it a performance. At the end of the third, they trail by 23.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They made a run, but too late(or so they thought). The first free throws came with 4:22 left in the game. Triple after triple, it's down to eight with 3:43 reamaining. Then another 3, down to 5! 2:00 mins left. Sonics use a time-out. Yet another 3-pointer, down to 2 points with only 1:24. A Robert Horry jumper would tie the game with 36 seconds. The a Sonics turnover by a Brent Barry steal. Time-out Spurs with 29 left on the clock. Shot put up but then Duncan tipped it out to Tony Parker for a WIDE OPEN TRIPLE.
The Sonics fans are stunned, what they thought to be a 23 point lead, became not even a lead, but a deficet. 86-83 Spurs. But just then, luke Ridnour BANKS in a three pointer! Ties it at 86 with only 13.6 left. But Brent Barry gets the inbound, and just seemingly steps out of bounds. Only 5.1, the Spurs hope to be over-time, but no. Rashard Lewis crushed their hearts with a three pointer with 1.1 of a second. But the Spurs have no time-outs. Barry launches it to half court but Parker blocked by Jerome James.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs could have won their biggest comeback in their franchise history.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final Score: 89-86.
Player of the Game: Rashard Lewis: 23 Points, 4 Rebounds, 4 Blocks.
Hon. Mention: Robert Horry: 34 Points, 9 Rebounds, 1 Assist. (8-15 From Three Point Line)
The San Antonio Spurs got 38 Points in the fourth and 10 3's.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No Saves For FG's Today. I Forgot.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
San Antonio Spurs' Record: 1-2

MANU COMES UP HUGE FOR THE SPURS VICTORY

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS AT SAN ANTONIO SPURS

DATE: November 10th, 7:30 P.M.
LOCATION: SBC Center

Manu was hot at the start of the game, scoring the first 20 points for the Spurs. He scored 20 out of the Spur's 24 1st quarter points. But the Warriors were keeping up. The 1st Quarter Score: 24-18
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both teams were freezing to start the second quarter. The BD (Baron Davis) went on a run. but Barry sank jumpers all over to silence the Warriors. Golden State eventually took a one point lead. Ginobili cooled off, scoring only 5 points in the second compared to 20.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Horry came into play for the first time, started by hitting a few jumpers. The Spurs showed great passing and shooting, especially grabbing the big boards. Resulting in a 61-58 lead at the end of the 3rd. At this point, Manu Ginobili has 36 points.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manu stuns AGAIN, getting his EIGHTH triple of the night. This was Manu's night to shine, shooting, stealing, rebounding and with a shocking amount of points. Then they took the game completely away from the Warriors. Up 13 with 1:55 remaining ensured the Spurs for the victory. A late Bowen tip dunk sealed it for the Spurs(the Warriors went on a run). And just for show, Duncan BANKED in a three pointer in the eye of Mike Dunleavy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final Score: 86-77

Player of the Game: Manu Ginobili- 50 points(8-14 3-Pointers, 8-9 FT), 1 Board, 2 Steals, 3 Assists.

Hon. Mention: Baron Davis- 31 Points, 3 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 3 Steals
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
San Antonio Spurs' Record: 2-2
